E-Book Pricing Alerts

@JWolf and @DeepSpaceYorks I constable at least in the US on Amazon was never discounted this month, it is still at the regular price of $2.99. Just fyi for both of you, and I didn’t know if @JWolf if you wanted to change your ebook list post accordingly.

All the best,
-Koric
Oh, that's interesting, thanks. I wasn't going to pick it up though anyway. Just thought I'd highlight any differences that may have arisen between countries. Does anyone know why there aren't kindle editions for some of those early Pocket Book TOS novels? There's a whole bunch of early ones available but this isn't the first month where we've had one missing.

That is very odd as I, Constable is listed as one of May's deals. I'll remove the cover for it since it's not really a deal. Thanks.

One thing you can do if you live in the UK and cannot get any Star Trek eBooks that you can get in the US. Go to kobo.com and change the region to the US and buy the eBooks from there.

Btw is Losing the Peace standalone? It doesn't seem like it is.
Kind of, but kind of not. It deals with the aftermath of the Borg Invasion from the Destiny trilogy, but it isn't a direct continuation of any of it's plots. So you might be a little lost with the references to the invasion if you haven't read Destiny, but you could probably read it and still follow most of it OK.

Sales for June are up!

https://www.simonandschuster.com/c/ebookpromoJune2021

Voyager: Captain Proton: Defender of the Earth
Discovery: Dead Endless
Picard: The Last Best Hope
Seekers: Second Nature
Seekers: Point of Divergence
Seekers: Long Shot
Seekers: All That's Left
Destiny #1: Gods of Night
Destiny #2: Mere Mortals
Destiny #3: Lost Souls

A good selection, but I think most of them have actually been part of the monthly sales before. I'm reasonably sure Captain Proton hasn't been on sale before, and the only one I'm not sure of is The Last Best Hope--I got it when it was on for $3.99 in Canada, so I don't know if it ended up showing up in a monthly sale. Dead Endless, the Seekers series, and Destiny have all been part of prior monthly sales.

Yeah, looks like Captain Proton is the only one I haven't gotten from previous sales. Last Best Hope was $1.99 in the US at one point, so presumably this may be cheaper... but it was definitely "cheap enough" before, so I already have it.

@Avro Arrow thanks for the post.

Picard: Last Best Hope and Dead Endless were on sale exactly one yeat ago, as a part of the June 2020 Trek sales.

As seen here:
https://www.simonandschuster.com/c/ebookpromoJune2020

Destiny was at some point in the past as well as the Seeker series.

Given the fact that the newest season of Picard could be six to eight months away, I don't understand why not have a spotlight on The Time To... Series since a lot of the events of Nemesis lead into Picard loosely for most fans? Or at least take a chance to call attention to other great Trek books and authors as well.

Here's to hoping.
Wishing everyone on the forums a happy and safe early Memorial Day Celebration Weekend to all.

I might get Dead Endless but that’s it for June for me. I have The Seekers, Destiny and The Last Best Hope and I don’t want Captain Proton.

Meh, slightly underwhelming. I'll pick up the Destiny trilogy but I've either got, or I'm not interested in, the rest. It does mean that I'll now buy Losing the Peace this month if I can buy Destiny in a few days.

Some of the June discounts are now active on the US Kindle store; the Destiny trilogy and Captain Proton are down to 99 cents.

Those Seekers books are great but I love the spines and cover art so much I doubt I'll donate my PBs and buy the kindles like I normally do. I might just get them for convenience though. I already bought the Destiny omnibus in kindle.

(only to find I had already bought them in kindle in Jan 2019)

Hey everyone,

Just an FYI the Seeker series was last on sale in August 2016, and the Destiny series was last Trek deal on August 2018. The omnibus was going to be a part of the Trek monthly deal last year that was announced and pulled at some point.

As for ST Voyager Captain Proton, I last bought the ebook in 2017 but, I can’t remember if it was a part of the Trek monthly deals.

I just hope that whomever is in charge of choosing the Trek ebooks, doesn’t pull what Random House is doing with Star Wars ebooks because a lot of the same ebooks on sale at $5 are a lot of repeats and hardly ever change week to week or month to month.

Stay safe all the best,
-Koric

I don't think the Star Wars books are on sale, those are just their regular prices.

@JD yeah my man... I dont think so... not trying to be argumentative.
For example here is EREADERIQ ‘s data on John Jackson Miller’s Star Wars Knight Errant:
  • We started tracking this book on May 19, 2011.
  • This book was $7.99 when we started tracking it.
  • The price of this book has changed 31 times in the past 3,667 days.
  • The current price of this book is $4.99 last checked one day ago.
  • The lowest price to date was $4.99 last reached on May 26, 2019.
  • This book has been $4.99 3 times since we started tracking it.
  • The highest price to date was $7.99 last reached on March 12, 2019.
  • This book has been $7.99 4 times since we started tracking it.
  • This book is currently at its lowest price since we started tracking it.
Some of the $4.99 and $5.99 ebooks have been the same price for over 2 years now. Sometimes you may get a RANDOM ebook thrown in every week, but mostly it is the same group of ebooks for a longer period of time.

Like THE TIME TO series for Trek, or the New Jedi Order series, or Legacy of the Jedi or Fate of the Jedi series for Star Wars. None of those series have ever been discounted. I just wish that other ebooks get a chance to rotate in, and have some different or unique titles that’s all like Trek does.

Mostly back in 2017/2018 remember there were the $.99 monthly Trek ebooks with a unique group of $3.99 and $4.99 Trek ebooks thrown in for good measure that changed every month.

It was like that for two or three years, and then it stopped for no reason.
