E-Book Pricing Alerts

Oooooo No Time Like The Past! I've been wanting to read that, but haven't gotten around to it since I've been focusing my Trek reading on the TNG and Titan, and now Voyager and SCE books.

So, the burning question of the day is; do you buy them all up on the first day or do you spread your purchasing out throughout the month? I've done both in the past but this is such a bumper exciting month, for me, I think I'll splurge and get them all now!

Holy heck am I glad I caught this thread when I did. Just barely made it in time for "The Way to the Stars" and "Die Standing."

My budget's tight right now, but hours of writing from two great authors for the price of a medium order of french fries? In.

Actually, you can get two large fries for just about the cost of two discounted eBooks.

Where are you finding large fries for $1? I occasionally see this price in the McDonald's app as a deal I can use, but regular menu prices for large fries tend to be something closer to $3 or $4 at most places I go.

It is/was a deal if you use the McDonald's app as of yesterday.

I got No Time Like the Past last night. Looking forward to reading it, the whole idea of Seven of Nine teaming up with the TOS characters sounds like a lot of fun.

It looks like S&S have posted the titles for May's discounts. Quite the...eclectic grab bag, including an e-book exclusive that already retailed at a fairly low price, and a couple of titles that've popped up before:

TOS
#29: Dreadnought!, Diane Carey
#38: The IDIC Epidemic, Jean Lorrah
#44: Vulcan's Glory, D.C. Fontana
The Latter Fire, James Swallow

TNG
Losing the Peace, William Leisner

DS9
Rising Son, S.D. Perry
I, the Constable, Paula M. Block and Terry J. Erdmann

VOY
Unworthy, Kirsten Beyer

ENT
Broken Bow, Diane Carey

The full list, complete with covers and descriptions, can be found here:

Titles of Note: Rising Son hasn't been discounted in forever; those who've been snagging DS9 Relaunch titles should be pleased with that one. Those looking for "numbered-era" TOS books get three new ones. And I don't believe Losing the Peace has been included in these sales before!

I might just have to pick up Vulcan's Glory, I've heard a lot of good things, but never gotten around to reading it.

I'll be buying all the ones I don't have yet. I'm surprised I, the Constable is on sale since that one is normally $3.99. Then again, there seems to be a fuzzy logic to the pricing of ebooks anyhow. I'm pretty sure a couple of these have regular prices of $19.99 or so and I'm always happy when those go on sale because it feels like I'm getting a better deal.

Only two of these have been in the specials before: Unworthy and Vulcan's Glory.
