E-Book Pricing Alerts

Only two of these have been in the specials before: Unworthy and Vulcan's Glory.

The Latter Fire was also discounted a while back; I snagged it then! And I, the Constable might as well be retailing for regular price...

About Losing The Peace; is that the worst cover for a Trek book ever?

That's one where it would've been better to go with a painted/old-school cover - not so much "floating heads" as "believably posing Worf and Picard in a field of destruction."

It's definitely not good, but I don't know if I'd go that far. There are some old ones that are pretty bad to lazy designs, stuff stolen from other franchises, or bad likenesses.

Dreadnought and The Idic Epidemic are both terrible covers. Kirk looks like a cheap plastic action figure. The same action figure one on both covers.

Hey everyone,

I've added Rising Son, Unworthy, and The Latter Fire to my ebook collection (I already had I, The Constable and Vulcan's Glory). This was a pretty good month.

Amazon also discounted a couple of Agatha Christie mystery books that I had been keeping my eye on, so you amateur sleuths out there might also like that.

The New Frontier 5 story bundle is tempting me still, with a day left but the first review says the ebook has formatting and typos which has kept me away

@LK3185 I would purchase the ebook as MOST times, the formatting and typos can get fixed and updated at times, if you purchase the ebook on Amazon as long as the AISN Amazon number is the same for the ebook, then the actual ebook can get updated with a new cover and/or formatting in the future. Either way what do you have to lose at $.99 cents?

I hope this helps.

Hey all,

Star Trek The Next Generation 365 Kindle edition is on sale on Amazon now and hasn’t been on sale since 6/2019, but it is on sale for $3.99.

Just an fyi and heads up for anyone who wants it.

Annoyingly IDIC Epidemic and Dreadnought don't have an ebook option in the UK. So that's two I'm not getting this month that I had planned on.

The following books are on sale in the canadian Kobo and Amazon stores:
Star Trek: Picard: The Dark Veil
Star Trek: Picard: The Last Best Hope
Star Trek: The Book of Lists

The practically brand-new The Dark Veil for $2.99?? Nice! Thank you for the heads-up!

Man...Son of a Jumpin’...

it’s too bad the US didn’t get the discount too on Picard: Dark Veil... but I paid full price for the ebook... It’s hard not to feel slighted though.

I get it. S&S discounted The Last Best Hope early after it’s release in Canada too, because Picard was being delayed being shown in Canada for awhile. Something tells me that Dark Veil might be discounted here in the US too soon like LBH was 6 months later. The Dark Veil is great book full price or discounted either way.

James Swallow knows his Trek and his characterization of Riker is right on the money. I was glad Riker retained his captain’s rank. Admiral’s tend to be pompous jerks in TNG anyway. I still remember how Swallow had Riker in turmoil over accepting the Admiral’s rank in Posioned Chalice, it felt real and recognizable. Riker was an amazing captain, but as an admiral, I always felt there was always an underlying conflict of Riker’s direct approach as captain, and the hesitant nature of being diplomatic as an admiral.

Oops got side-tracked. :)

Given that Star Trek eBooks come without DRM, you can get these and convert them to KF8 if you want to read with a Kindle. You can use Calibre to convert and then side load to your Kindle. These are in ePub from eBooks.com.

I bought The Dark Veil a little while ago at full price and enjoyed it. Can't wait for everything to go on sale, I guess. As for the sale books I bought The IDIC Epidemic, Dreadnought, Vulcan's Glory and Losing the Peace. Plus a few more at regular price!!

In the UK, this month, we're missing Dreadnought, IDIC Epidemic and I, The Constable. However, I see that we have Broken Bow on offer as compensation. Yay! :wtf:
Btw is Losing the Peace standalone? It doesn't seem like it is.

@JWolf and @DeepSpaceYorks I constable at least in the US on Amazon was never discounted this month, it is still at the regular price of $2.99. Just fyi for both of you, and I didn’t know if @JWolf if you wanted to change your ebook list post accordingly.

All the best,
-Koric
