DVDs

Congratulations on this great purchase. I am in the process of rewatching the series (again), I love my DS9 dvd sets.

The ones from 2003 were crazy expensive compared to the ones released in 07. Don't really understand why, they both have the same amount of features (I think).

I just ordered the Star Trek DS9 DVDs from Amazon.com...I can't wait to get 'em!!

Josie

I was lookin' at the Amazon website for the same reason the other night...

...just don't have the money to get the complete series set right now.

*sigh*

They were brutally expensive, but that's Paramount for ya. At least the packaging is way cooler than the budget editions. I'm glad I invested in them back then.

I wish I could say the same. I bought the 2003 versions, and those damn things are so flimsy they fell apart piece by piece. I went through an entire roll of scotch tape just fixing them.

I hear ya. I bought the 2003 versions last year for very little when were bargained off at Amazon.com. You really have to handle them with kid gloves!

I have seasons 1-3, 5 and 6 on DVD and I must say that I have enjoyed them a lot.

I love my DS9 dvds. I just finished watching an episode about 15 minutes ago. My trek dvds are my most prized, and see the most use. I've also got TOS and TNG, and the films.

I got my DS9 dvds last year with my tax return. Wish I could do the same with VOY this year, but I've sadly hit some tough times, and need that money in more vital areas:(

To anyone who owns the DVD season seven set, I'm just wondering...

Did they censor the accidental Ezri Dax nudity or do they show the original episode unedited?

I always wondered how they were going to handle that one. Obviously they had to edit for TV, but most fans want their DVD collections unedited.

When was there a re-issue of the DVD sets? Because the ones Amazon is showing now look just like the original release sets, which I own...

Huh?

I strongly suspect it was edited since I don't remember anything of the sort, having watched series 7 right through, but mentioning which episode and when in the ep would help to give an answer...

Wish I could remember the episode title. Tail end of the seventh season. The scene in question had Ezri and Bashir in bed together (if I'm remembering right; I haven't seen the show in years). An Ezri nip supposedly "accidentally" made it into the show when it initially aired but was cut out of all future broadcasts.

The only episode I remember that had Bashir and Ezri in bed is WYLB, and I don't think that was possible. Yeah, sounds like a rumour.

Maybe like Worf I've popped into another dimension -- one just like my own, except Nicole de Boer never showed her nipple on free TV. Next you'll tell me Picard didn't die at Wolf 359!
