Partly because, yes, sex/eroticism is integral, at heart of Dune. I hope/suspect Villeneuve gets this - his casting indicates this

What struck me most however, and i can't believe i never noticed this, is
Patrick Stewart/Gurney Halleck is carrying a pug into battle against the Harkonnen!

I always thought what a weird way to hold the gun with two hands, maybe there was a second grip on top (which makes no sense for such a small gun but it's Science Fiction so whatever) - never in a million years would i have thought that Gurney would carry a small dog into battle!
5.11 is a good brand. I like it. Could work for Trek costuming too.

I was watching a fan edit the other day and the damn dog is still there at the end!!
Would have thought water was too precious on Arrakis to waste on that dog.
So, like, did they outfit the dog with a special still-suit? If not how did they deal with it pissing in the desert and wasting precious water like that?
