Apostle, good luck to you, about 2 months before I got engaged to Dear Wife, she had broken up with me because "I wanted to make sure you were the right one"..Now I can't understand all female logic, but it appears that she wanted to distance herself, date some other men and compare them to me. After a month, she decided that I WAS the right gent and renewed the relationship.

Perhaps THIS was what all the crap in this thread was actually about...she wanted to see if you WERE the right man for the job...

Did you keep the ring from the first time round?

There have been many misconceptions floating around about my relationship status.

1. Misconception #1 is that I was engaged before. I was not. My engagement was made manifest Friday, December 24, 2010 at ~2:00 PM, CST. In witness was my miniature poodle, Jack Bauer.
2. Misconception #2 is, apparently, that I purchased a ring before. I seriously looked at several rings, but no purchase was made.

1. We broke up way back when.
2. We got back together.

Last night, my gf of 15 months who I was in the process of purchasing an engagement ring dumped me because of something we have had dozens of conversations about: Perseverence of the Saints/Eternal security or whatever the hell you want to call the belief that once converted, you can do nothing to cause separation between you and God. I believe Apostasy is possible; she does not.

That's the funniest thing I have ever read.

Now, all that remains is to see if it works out for me... Very similar story to yours, but we're not engaged. Well not again, at least. Second time is the charm, eh?

I do not think there will be a divorce, as both of us view that as unacceptable.
