Really really do not like the Mega Man style 'hand cannons'

The fact that they made new 2399 Starfleet phasers and phaser rifles for PIC (which we’ve yet to see in the show) gives me hope that we’ll actually see a 2399 Starfleet vessel too.

We've seen both in the show already.

    Picard Spoilers
The pistols can be bearely seen being used by security in the flashback that shows the androids attacking Mars. Seven also used the phaser pistol to kill Icheb, and uses the rifles later in the same episode

They say it's the 33rd Century. I wonder if Michael Burnham makes it to 3187 but everyone else misses the mark and ends up in 3200-ish? It would give Burnham enough time to get caught up with everything and to make her wait seem long enough, when she's spending years doing whatever it is she's doing.

Pretty sure they've said she's only there for a year before Discovery arrives.

Either the plaque makers made a mistake, or they've decided to change how far into the future they actually jumped. Or maybe they just rounded up to the nearest century :P

It's probably a mistake or a change. Otherwise, they'd have to age Burnham up a little bit.

    My theory: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/wha...ion-in-the-future.302445/page-5#post-13279799

It could be adjusted to better fit the prop description.

Oh, ok. Although I find it odd that they made brand-new phasers for such a short scene instead of just reusing the DSC phasers. It makes me think that they’ll be used again.

They haven't reused any other DSC props, so I'm not sure why they would for the pistols, since we do see a close up of one.

Wait, 33rd century? I thought it was 32nd?
    I think they're kinda funny.

The Romulan knife is a Gil Hibben model called the Double Shadow.

I've had the black/gold model for about 20 years as well as the same color straight Warbird.

I'd be okay with them if someone in the show does the Megaman jump while firing one.

The "Hurricane" weapon looks like the Autobot Matrix of Leadership.
