DS9 - Where are the Vulcans?

Personaly, I liked the fact that there was a lack of Vulcan's on this show. I don't think they needed to push all the same old aliens on every series. I found the Dominion, Cardassians and Romulans to be perfectly awesome on this show. I didn't need a Vulcan.
For that matter, where are the Andorians and Tellarites? Two of the founding members of the Federation, and nowhere to be seen in any of the 24th century Star Trek shows.
I was always under the impression is that DS9 is just damn far away, and relatively recently under Federation management (at the time of the TV series) so peeps from Telar, Andor, Vulcan etc just really haven't made it out there yet. Seems like DS9 traffic is mostly "exotic" species, you don't often see that many familiar Federation species on DS9 aside from humans.
Judging by the Vulcans' three appearances on the show I'm glad they didn't appear more. Vulcans were easily the worst written race in DS9.
Vulcans appeared more than three times. Just off the top of my head: Emissary, The Forsaken, The Maquis 1 & 2, Through the Looking Glass, Shakaar, Take Me Out to the Holosuite, and Field of Fire.
I was thinking of Maquis I&II, Take Me Out To The Holosuite and Field of Fire. Are there any other episodes where Vulcans play a major role in the plot? I know Mirror Tuvok is there, I know the guy on Sisko's ship at the beginning is Vulcan, but I was thinking more of Vulcans who are central to the episode.
