Was there ever talk of making a movie for DS9? After the next generation they had a few films, but i haven't seen any movies for DS9, not even a made for tv movie, was there ever talk of making one or is there talk of making one in the future?
When the DS9 sets were built, they were built to "movie quality" (with enough detail that they would look good when blown up for the big screen), if-and-when. I think I read this in one of the big behind-the-scenes books, I forget which one.Was there ever talk of making a movie for DS9? People here are constantly talking about a DS9 movie...or at least that they want/ed one. Given that it has been 10 years since the show ended there is probably no chance of a movie

I never liked the station that much, but if they had a film set aboard the USS Defiant, and made it a submarine-like drama like The Hunt For Red October, that would be awesome.People here are constantly talking about a DS9 movie...or at least that they want/ed one. I agree that there is no chance of a DS9 movie, but I don't think the amount of time that has passed since the show ended is reason enough. After all, Star Trek got its first movie ten years after it ended! Then again, DS9 wasn't canceled too early and brought back as an animated series because fan enthusiasm over re-runs was so huge.![]()
The Wrath of Khan is my favorite Trek movie, in large part due to the two starship battle sequences, but my brother-in-law complains that the one in the nebula was cheesy (Khan thinks two-dimensionally!), and I tend to agree.

^And you shall have them. In Aug/Sept. !!!!!!
