Well done and congrats to the both of you! :)

This week's Episode, chosen by Diddle, is "Treachery, Faith and the Great River"

The Theme, chosen by Devil Eyes, is "To be continued..." (things that should have been followed up on, or didn't get the proper closure in the show)

The Random Theme, also chosen by Devil Eyes, is "Worst couples". Read the full instructions here.

Marie is still on a vacation but she'll be back soon and she'll be putting up the voting thread later on. I've sent her a PM about the discussion about the entry period.

The rules: This contest is open for everyone. Avatars can't be larger than 140x140 px and 70kb. The deadline will be set to April 9 but Marie might want to change that date if she's busy that day.

Have fun everyone! :D

Odo and Kira's heart-to-heart conversation at the end of the episode.

DS9 theme:

avatar_kiradukat_covenant.jpg

It's a real shame we didn't get to see any interaction between Kira and Dukat after Covenant. I always thought that, with all the history between those two, this complex "relationship" should have gotten a real closure - whether it were Kira killing Dukat, or being somehow involved in his ending on the show... it probably would have been more interesting than what we got, too.

Don and Betty Draper from Mad Men. Can't you just feel the happiness, intimacy and passion in this relationship?

I'm not sure should I go with the first picture, where you can better see the awkward, formal pose of him helping with her coat, or should I go with the second one, where you can see their blank faces better?

The second, because it draws me to Betty's eyes. Her face in particular, and her eyes above everything, say it all.

^ Theme. Until "The Never-Ending Sacrifice" was written, I always wondered- how did Pa'Dar and Rugal fare, particularly seeing as their nemesis Dukat took control of the government?

By the way, what a name, eh? Pa'Dar. Is the surname of Rugal's biological mother Ma'Mommy?

Random theme. You said it could be any couples, including friends/partners, not just lovers. Londo and G'Kar might well be one another's best friends- and they'd be the first to say it's a disastrous idea!

I agree. You should enter the second one!

Ahhh, my dear DN, I believe that calls for a vote. (And I didn't get the pa'Dar pun until you pointed it out. Do'h!)

And in the same vein, here is my random theme;

Worst mentor ever!

DevilEyes...I LOVE that Dukat-Kira moment! BTW, I actually used a pose from a few frames before that, in a drawing I did of my alternate version of Dukat because the demeanor was SO unusual for him that it wouldn't take much to change the expression into my alter-version.

I didn't watch much Enterprise but I found these two wrong for each other:

(and, no, I'm not a T'Pol/Archer shipper! :p I guess I just found the whole Vulcan-getting-all-emotional thing strange.)

And the second one it is! :)

I definitely see the "Pa'dar" pun...it also resembles the Latin word pater.
D'OH! How did I miss that? It is so obvious.

Theme:

(Two words: HARD TIME.)
I was sure someone would use Hard Time, it really is a perfect example of a plot that really, really, SHOULD have been followed upon.

I don't think that those two were that bad together, but you certainly found a perfect picture to support your position!
Same goes for DN's Londo & G'Kar (the part about the right pic, not the part about not being that bad for each other)! :bolian:

Hm...I just never had the feeling of a healthy marriage between the O'Briens and I really did feel like those two would have done better separated. Which is a SERIOUS shame with the kids, but all the fighting wasn't good for them, either.

Mainly about Jake and his disappearance from the final season, but also about the Jake/Ezri pairing in which they could have had at least more interaction than this one chat over the replicator, of course, it didn't help that Jake only appeared in 9 episodes and then almost always in background roles.

Random Theme:
penumbra_647-1.jpg

I'm sorry, but what? Why? Ezri getting with Worf never solved anything. I never thought Jadzia and Worf were that suited for each other anyway, and this just makes it worse, especially considering the whole message of Rejoined.
