Dreamland

great am I going to have to resist the urge to watch it, till I can watch it as one on BBC Two?

The animation looks like an old PS2 game. I don't understand why they can't do a descent job on this.Don't they have any money?

Probably not, it's a production for the Red Button/online, so probably low budget. Or it could be a stylistic choice.

Both. It was supposed to be a bit cutsceney - Gary Russell's said as much in interviews - but a Red Button project was never going to look like A Christmas Carol...

I like the story and the voice-acting, but the graphics? YUCK.

I really liked Jimmy.

Can't wait for the next one (well, except for having to see those horrible graphics again).

I'm going to hold off until the whole thing airs as one. Initially I didn't like The Infinite Quest because I only saw small snippets at a time, but I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it as a whole at once.

I'm going to wait till the whole thing is available as one, as well. I agree the animation isn't Beowulf quality, but that doesn't bug me. The story always will out as far as I'm concerned, as will the voice performances. I look a peek at part 1 on YouTube and some guy in the comments section was going absolutely psycho screaming how the BBC was destroying Doctor Who with Dreamland. Some people just need to be sedated.

Again, the animation drove me batty there too. It was pretty much stills with hyper-active eyeballs and eyebrows.

Voice acting and ideas were pretty spot on. I would have preferred Martha's "Doctor" to have been the real Doctor, a nice twist that her ultimate desire was The Doctor and that would be what snatched him over to save the day.

But man, that animation! :(

I think for me the problem is that I watched the 2001: A Who Odyssey not long before I saw Dreamland Part 1.... The fact that a fan can make something that looks SOOOO much better than this is kinda disappointing.

Yeah, the animation sucks, but once it all airs, if you just close your eyes (or take out the video) it could be a pretty awesome audio adventure...

Actually, I did close my eyes for a short bit out of curiosity, and it would indeed work quite splendidly as an audio adventure.

Can't wait to see Part 2...

Can't wait to watch this when I get home later. 13 minutes long too, good length, I thought each episode would be a bout 5 minutes. How many episodes are there? 4?
