Dreamland

Lets be honest anytime between The Next Doctor & Water of Mars, the Doctor is solo (so you are not tied to a companion) he is pretty much himself has yet to go "Time Lord Victorious" so almost any 10th Doctor story could fit in that gap (as long as you avoid the major recurring aliens, Daleks & the Master for example)

The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith & Planet of the Dead do not present any real problems, and suggests that he travels by himself for some time, something exploited by the various magazines & books.

My point is there is no reason you cant set an animated series between The Next Doctor & Waters of Mars in the Doctors timeline.

Yes, thankfully, they make a point of stating that even between 'The Waters of Mars' and 'The End of Time' an indefinte amount of time has passed.
But I don't think the producers would want to have Ten in anything running parallel to the 11th Doctor. One can dream but I don't think it will happen.

you are of course correct, but I think it would be a real shame, if that was the only reason it didnt happen.

In between Waters of Mars & End of Time, is slightly harder to write for, but maybe not all that much, Dreamland does it quite well, but obviously the Doctor is a different man after Waters of Mars, than he was before.

Watched it today, and thought it was solidly okay. The ending was a bit of a handwave, the animation was a mix of bad (the characters) and good (pretty much everything else). There were some good lines and some funny moments.

But can we please have a moratorium on Roswell stories? Please? It's a bogus story that's been done to death by every show from Who to DS9 to Dark Skies to, well, Roswell. It's so bogus that for decades it was forgotten or, at best, considered a completely debunked embarrassment even by the UFOlogists. It didn't get hyped as the ultimate UFO story until the 1980s, and there was no more real proof then than there had been before.

Government officials get everywhere don't they ;)

I loved the story, but I agree the animation is mostly rubbish. The scenery style is fairly nice as well as the Viperox, but the human and Time Lord animations were terrible. Worse, the motion was stiffer than Toy Story. I also wish there was more David Warner, but then I always want more of him. Damnit, he needs to appear on the show already.

Don't forget Futurama! In fact, "Roswell That Ends Well" is one of the series' best. That being said, I agree Roswell has been overdone a bit.

the TV show Roswell was rubbish, but I think all Sci-Fi franchises (or at least the ones about humanity) should do a Roswell episode, where the events are explained from that "Verses" POV

Hey, don't knock it, we got another special this year for the price of... not very much. Goodness knows the license fee doesn't got very far as it is.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm glad we got the story. If nothing else, I can just listen to the story as an audio play. I just wish they had used the animation style from The Infinite Quest which I loved.

Ah, Xmas Eve it is, then - excellent!

It is now Christmas Eve, and I watched it this morning while decorating the tree. I really enjoyed it, particularly the humour. Nice lead in to that thing that's happening tomorrow. Not the guy in the red suit; the guy in the long mac. :)
