Dreaming About Star Trek

I dreamt that the Original Series crew were trying to rob a WalMart.

Every now and then I'll have a dream where I'm in a theater supposedly watching a "new" "Star Trek" movie. A little ways into it, it occurs to me how bad it is and how little I'm enjoying myself, and I'll think, "Man, is this the movie?" and I'll wake up. I'm terrible at remembering the details of individual dreams, but when I have these dreams, in general the movies are usually full of characters just talking (TOS characters, usually dressed in TWOK uniforms) and something really stupid happens (OK insert actual Trek movie joke here).

I have had lots of dreams of being in hobby shops and toy stores where all kinds of wares were available for purchase--all of which vanished out of my hands upon awakening.

Oh, hell yes. Either I stumble upon a horde of Transformers on extra-cheap clearance, or a whole bunch of never-before-made Star Trek starship models/toys.

Those dreams always make me want to stab my subconscious mind. What a JERK it is.

Once in awhile I would have a dream about Star Trek. I don't remember them after I wake up. lol

I dream'pt the ship design for the new Trek series was unveiled, it was literately THIS ship refitted as space-worthy plus warp engines installed. More bizarre than that, everybody here loved it!

Oh man, I want to have a Trek dream. I've had dreams of Stargate SG-1, The Sopranos, The Drew Carey Show, and Days of Our Lives (back in college - it was because of a girl. Honest...), but never about Star Trek.

I occasionally have dreams with Trek elements-- in fact, a number of characters in my stories are derived from dreams like that-- but I've only had a few that were specifically set in the Trek universe. In one, I was the Commodore in charge of the starbase from "The Menagerie" and Uhura was my first officer, or Vice Commodore, or whatever you call the second-in-command of a starbase. My other Uhura dreams would not be allowed in this thread. In another dream, I was with a TNG away team on a woodsy planet where it was Winter and the ground was covered in ice and snow-- Worf kept slipping and falling because Klingons have no experience with ice and snow. There was another one where I was watching a new Trek TV show set far after the TNG era on a new Enterprise-- the saucer section had a circular cut-out in the center and the nacelles were made of crystal or something.

Oh, how I have wanted to dream about Trek. In almost 50 years, I can only remember one time that I've had a Star Trek dream. It wasn't erotic, either.

Oh, the trek merchandise (manuals, replica ships, models) I would buy in stores--that vanish when I wake up.
