That WOULD be the ONLY way to please the hardcore fans( hey they want it to be more like the series) Anyway the way I see it is the producers just decided to cut to the chase and have Goku and Picollo stare for only 10 minutes

that is the series with the long drawn out scenes...but the DBZ anime movies are actually very fast paced and action packed..
