Dr Who Xmas info is up at the BBC's site

I find it utterly amazing that the BBC can come out with such detailed information -- yet still manage to avoid actually confirming what day these shows will air! Part one will obviously air on Christmas Day (at least so we all are assuming) but it would be nice if they confirmed whether Part 2 actually will air on New Year's Day or if they're planning a back-to-back broadcast on Boxing Day.

Once again, the whole "avoiding counter programming" argument is stupid on this occasion because it'll generate massive ratings no matter what ITV or C4 puts up against it.

Quite Right, i was looking for the dates too. :)

I also read in TV Guide that Tim Daltan's character is called "The Narrator"..hmm

I love the fact that it seems that Wilf is going to be a companion for the Doctor in this story.

the Doctor and Wilf must fight alone. But sacrifices must be made

That's been known for awhile. I'm looking forward to seeing Bernard's name in the opening titles - the guy has Doctor Who connections going back to the 60s, so he deserves it.

I think its to do with selling copies of the Radio Times, and any last minute changes, dont forget it is still a whole month till Christmas, things will change between now & then, movies are not on this list, they will effect the exact timings of shows.

bollocks to Who, I'm more excited about Merlin after reading about it's season finale!!!
its not like you are going to be asked to chose between Merlin & Doctor Who, you can have both
Technically, they're the same character. See "Battlefield." ;)

However, Colin Morgan isn't ginger...

*groans*
*puts elbows on desk*
*pushes hair back with the fingers*

*shakes head left to right, right to left*

Wilf be the greatest companion ever!!!!

Well, Romana and Leela aside. And the Brig. :p
You know, I'm so damn happy that Wilf has become so popular. I really am! Yes, I'm a sad old git. And I don't care.

Gawdblessyer, Wilfred!

:D

I hope BBC would do Chirstmas Day/Boxing Day because from a ratings POV those days would maximise the ratings but I still think BBC will go for X mas/New Years Day.

It's so refreshing seeing an older companion. Hell, it's nice to break out of the modern day, young female human mold. Next step: either human from the past or alien. I can only hope. It's depressing to think that Turlough was the last alien companion (on the show, not books, audios, or comics).

^ Is that a Red Dwarf reference? Because my addled old brain thinks it is...

:D

Not conciously...I seem to recall hearing it in connection with the Flintstones "I'd go with Betty but I'd be thinking of Wilma" or something...

Thats going to bug me now!

EDIT: Yes it was Red Dwarf! :D
