Donald Trump For President?

Biden don't know squat.

Really? He was a senator for 36 years. Sat on the Judiciary Committee. Chaired said committee for several years. Sat on the Foreign Relations Committee, and also chaired that. Sure, he may have terrible personal filters that allows him to run his mouth at times, but the man ain't stupid and he has a lot of experience.

Let me put it to you this way. When Biden was first elected to the Senate, Sarah Palin was 8.

During the campaign in 2008, when given the opportunity by Couric to discuss any recent Supreme Court decisions that she disagreed with (since Palin had repeatedly implied that she did indeed disagree with recent Court decisions), Palin was stumped.

How, as an Alaskan (indeed, the GOVERNOR of Alaska!), could she not immediately single out the very recent (only a few months earlier), controversial decision by the Supreme Court that cut down the punitive damages award in the Exxon Valdez spill?

That decision specifically and very negatively affected her very own constituents. On YouTube you even can find her expressing her extreme disappointment and concern during an Anchorage television interview in June 2008.

Clearly unfamiliar with details of not only world and national issues, but lost regarding issues in her own back yard. She has never impressed me as someone who is actually familiar with the specifics that would be required to make well-reasoned decisions so much as one of those students who- not having done the homework- blunders along through meandering, wordy responses.

I think Palin is a physically attractive woman with a smart-alecky personality that I could appreciate in small doses. I can see the appeal for her in some situations, especially as a reality show contestant. She obviously could have a following if she chose to follow in the steps of Rush or Beck or the other entertainment/opinion commentators.

But as far as someone who really has actual knowledge and answers beyond bumper-sticker "I Love Freedom" bits, she is not fit nor qualified to make the big decisions.

There are Republicans who I disagree with, yet respect. Palin is not one of them. She just does not have the Right Stuff.

They showed a clip of that the other day. I was amazed that she couldn't answer the question. She's a Republican female, the stock answer would have been Roe v. Wade.

The question was recent cases, I would hope she realized she'd be called on BS for that.

And politicians routinely use questions as a jumping off point for proselytizing, rather than giving a straightforward answer.
