Domino's Pizza changed it's recipe

Go to the store and buy a frozen self rising pizza. When you get it home, remove half the toppings. Bake it 30 degrees lower and 8-10 minutes shorter in it's recommended cooking directions. Take it out of the oven. Add 1 tsp of sugar and mix it into the sauce. Add a few drops of lemon juice to make the sauce tart and acidic. Let sit for 20 minutes. Serve.

You've now had Dominos Pizza.

J.

You are a bad person and you are going straight to hell. :p

In gasoline underwear, my dear.

My wife and I once drove more-or-less non-stop overnight from Missouri to D.C., and when we got there, we had Domino's delivered to our hotel room. THAT pizza was delicious (but really, cardboard might have been pretty good at that point), and it was the only time that I've enjoyed Domino's pizza.

I'll probably try the new recipe sometime soon, though, just for the variety of it.
The stuff I can get in New Yo....
Yo, I'ma let you finish - but I just wanted to say that real Chicago deep dish is the best pizza ever. The BEST PIZZA EVER!

 Good use of the Kanye meme. :techman: And I agree, that's pretty good, too. Just not so easy to get in eastern Indiana.

I remember my first taste of Dominos back in the '80s. My thought after the first bite was "People pay money for this crap?"

I haven't had Domino's Pizza since college. My roommates would frequently order it because it was cheap and it was right down the street. After chipping in a few times, I stopped, deciding there were cheaper ways to get explosive diarrhea. ()

Domino's started to deliver to drunk college kids. In that sense, it made sense. There's a place on campus (probably lots of campuses, don't think it's local) called Pizza U that has taken over that business model. It's fairly shitty pizza, but it's also really cheap and delivers at late hours so I don't complain. If I were to pick between it and Domino's, I've always picked it. Domino's problem is that it tries to make it's image more, but doesn't actually do more with the pizza.

Meh, Domino's isn't pizza no matter what they do to it. Nor are any of the other big chains.

The stuff I can get in New York City is, though.

This is true.

Where are your favorite places to eat pizza there, BTW? Mine are Grimaldi's and Spumoni Gardens. (Although the problem with that last one is that they are so far into Brooklyn that you have to ride the N train for almost an hour just to get there. But in the end it's worth it.)

As for Domino's? Bleah. Even I won't eat that crap.

I had Domino's a couple of times and I just didn't care for it.
I'm a Little Caesar's Pizza gal.

The only problem with Papa John's is that they don't offer a Small size pizza. I can't eat a Medium all by myself, and I hate leftover pizza.

I consider that overthinking it. The best pizza in NYC is from a random, local non-chain store and delivered to your apartment (or picked up yourself) in a non-descript cardboard box. With nothing on it but cheese. And eaten on cheap paper plates.

^ I suppose so, but remember, I'm a tourist. How am I supposed to find places like that? Just wandering around? I don't always have that kind of time. :p

Everyone who's ever lived in New York lived "a block from/upstairs from the best pizza in the city." Just ask 'em.

The original Ledos, on University Boulevard near College Park, MD. Period, full stop.
