Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

I'd love to have a "Newfie" or Great Pyrenees one day.

Oh, I have a Great Pyr, too ! They're both wonderful dogs - playful and cuddly, but love to have a "job" as well. They herd the chickens and help to haul firewood.

A goofy Irish Setter and an even goofier Pittie mix round out my pack of four - all currently asleep in a big pile in front of the fire... :)

I spent much of my teen years with a black lab neighbor- having adventures in the canoe on the reservoir by our neighborhood ( I have a picture somewhere in my box) or hikes in the woods there. He wasn't mine, but he was the closest thing to a childhood dog I had. He died sometimes while I was in undergrad.

For much of my 20s, and almost all of my 30s, I had a Beagle (Finn). He passed away almost three years ago. I miss him like hell. A wonderful companion especially back in my bachelor days. I still wish I had gotten him a yard to play in. It bothers me a little that he never got to have one.

Our Riley (Super-Supermutt) is still a young girl at nearly 14 months. I'm hopeful that she will get to have a yard someday.

I really want one of those huge breeds after having a lot of experience with dogs.
