Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

I hope this is the place to post a funny dog memory? I am still new so if not sorry! I haven't owned a dog in years but grew up with them and have many friends with dogs. When I was a kid we had a brown terrier named Peanuts. We used to call her our "bee catcher". I think at one point a bee stung her. She was an outside dog and in the Spring and Summer months the bees would buzz. She could be sleeping and would hear the sound a a bee nearby. She would sit very still and when the bee was within reach she would grab it in her mouth. She would bite it and then let it go. She would keep doing that until the bee was dead. It was the funniest thing to watch! Anyone else have a dog that has an "enemy?"

Our Max was terrified of the vacuum cleaner, passing trucks and thunder. He never met a person or cat he didn't love and never understood our cat's aversion to his bathing them lol.

Well, my dog while growing up, Pepper, absolutely hated garter snakes and would go after them with a passion. To the extent that she knew the word. You could whip her into a frenzy just by repeating the word "snake".

Mrs. Silvercrest met Pepper one time while we were dating and visiting my parents' house. Pepper was a little old and confused by then. Mrs. Silvercrest heard Pepper barking and went to investigate and found the dog in an unoccupied room. Barking by herself ... at the piano.

Like I say, a little confused.

In Pepper's defense, she could have just been worried that it was a corn snake lying upside-down! ;)

To quote Timothy McGee, "Hey, cool corn snake!"

Trying to come up with another witticism that involves snakes and piano keys (and barking dogs). I got nuthin'. :sigh:

Whenever Mrs. Silvercrest logs in again, let's hear her side of this sordid tale.
