Here, that "move while unseen" shtick is "endearing". Yet the same "bit" with a cat that's a popular meme is downright unnerving! And I say that as a cat lover! (Actually, I enjoy both cats and dogs, but a feline companion would fit my lifestyle better...if I were brave enough to adopt.)

When I lived in Maryland, there was a house with a sign that said “Beware of the dog”, which I’d pass by walking Finn. The dog was a Golden Retriever

I had kind of a funny moment while I was walking one of the dogs yesterday. We were waiting to cross the street, a car came past fairly close to the curb, and as it went by we both stepped back the exact same distance in perfect unison.

I had another one of those moments with my dog again. She was laying where I usually sit, and I was telling my mom how she stole my spot, and as soon as I said it, she moved. I never told her to move, and I was even by her when I said. I'm honestly not sure if it was purely a coincidence or if she actually understood me and moved for me.
