Burnham had a bath scene this episode. Was actually a little surprised we didn't see anything at all, considering the Klingon boobs previously and f-bomb-for-the-sake-of-f-bomb.

Grittier yes, mature no.
It doesn't reveal anything (at all) about the plot, it's the same as posting "Tilly walked down a corridor."
