Does Paramount+ even know I'm watching?

You know how they rate number of hours watched and all that to decide what shows are keepers and which ones to cancel? Well, the Paramount+ Android TV app is so utterly shite, it never thinks I've watched a single thing so the "continue watching" section is useless, only wanting me to watch the next episode of South Park which was many many months ago. Prodigy, Picard, Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks... I have to find them in my list then wrestle my way to the latest episode to watch every single week.

I wouldn't be surprised if Paramount think I haven't watched a minute of anything Trek related on their service. If I can't keep up with what I've watched thus far I doubt they're any wiser.

When I'm on Paramount+ not only does it always know what I'm watching, but also how much of it I've watched...
:scream:

I cancelled my Paramount+ in protest of them not renewing Prodigy.

#savestartrekprodigy and make a 25th century Seven of Nine spin-off and I will sign up again. Deal? :D

I've watched all my nu Trek shows on CTV Sci-Fi Channel. But according to the Canadian Charts(tm) alarmingly few Canadians do so, so I guess no one's aware I watch these shows either.

;)

I mean, who can blame them really when the messaging is confusing. I've always found that to be the case when trying to find where to watch something in Canada.

I have the cheeseball "commercials" version, and the AI they certainly must use to insert commercials is clearly asleep at the switch for the "continue watching" feature. Not sure if they think I start the same show over and over, but I bet they don't know I am swearing in Klingon, Arabic, English and Serbian!

Come back, @Timofnine , and join us in commercial and (not your!) content agony!!!

I wish Paramount+ could know how much trouble I have with their Fire TV app getting it to actually play an episode of Star Trek.:brickwall:

Two words: Roku, and Roku. :techman:

I've been using Roku for years and have never had a problem with any of the apps. Except maybe, sometimes, Discovery+. But otherwise, all good.

No compromise, no surrender @HIjol1 ! I’m sacrificing watching season 4 Lower Decks and season 2 Strange New Worlds for this cause. I ain’t signing up to no subscription service which dumped my favourite show and tossed the rest of the franchise in to a dumpster fire! They just need to get that Prodigy show back on TV pronto. Allegedly, Prodigy didn't get axed because people weren't watching it, it got axed for a tax write off because Paramount Plus is a clown show of a streaming service.

Wha’, wha’, wha’, whaaaaaa’? Sup’ Proof.
I'm confused by all accounts because a dumpster fire usually implies things are completely bad, when, by your own admission, you want to watch Lower Decks and SNW but won't in the name of saving Prodigy.

So, in what way is the franchise a dumpster fire? :wtf:

You sayin’ that Romulan sun burnin’ ain’t no dumpster fire??? I ain’t talkin’ about the writers, just the overarching plot.

Funny it's the reverse for me: mobile app tracks my progress, but watching on my desktop doesn't seem to count.

I don't have trouble with any of my apps except Paramount +. I have cleared the cache, force-quit the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app over and over, but nothing works. Why would just that one app be a problem?

It happened 14 years ago. Get over it.

ETA - Your new 'hip-hop' persona is tedious beyond belief. Drop it.
Yo S. Ta, that been one hell of a long 14 years, don’t ya think? Yeah sure, I’ll drop it like it's hot, drop it like it's hot. That dumpster fire probably still burning though, time for some temporal in-ter-ven-tion!
