The Future of 'Star Trek' Comics Is Ready for a New Next Generation (Exclusive)
Welcome Captain Seven of Nine aboard the 'Enterprise' with IDW's new 'Star Trek' comic.gizmodo.com
Oh, my sweet summer child...

bingo.I hope "Star Trek Legacy" doesn't happen because it's simply Star Trek yet again relying on the past and nostalgia as a crutch rather than putting out something completely new and fresh that has not connection to anything that came before.
Well… not in 2026, let alone the 25th century, I think.Plus, Picard is a celebrity. Fathering a child out of wedlock would've caused a scandal.
Not contributing. What would be as much of a taboo in the 25th century as unmarried fatherhood was in the 19th?
Kolopak is visually confusedNot contributing.
Yes.No. It'll never happen. It's a dumb idea.
Sign me up.Since we're just making shit up I'm starting a petition for a show about Genesis as captain with Caleb as science officer of, obviously, Enterprise NCC 1701-X.03.1.

Based on a line in TNG’s “Lonely Among Us” I would have said harvesting meat from live animals, but then Riker went and cooked some in PIC S1.What would be as much of a taboo in the 25th century as unmarried fatherhood was in the 19th?
I think he probably harvested it from a dead one.Based on a line in TNG’s “Lonely Among Us” I would have said harvesting meat from live animals, but then Riker went and cooked some in PIC S1.
I dunno, the ones on his grill looked kind of unaged (and skinned). I actually found it kinda disturbing, and I eat meat all the time.I think he probably harvested it from a dead one.
I hated that. It felt like they were deliberately trying to retcon TNG.Based on a line in TNG’s “Lonely Among Us” I would have said harvesting meat from live animals, but then Riker went and cooked some in PIC S1.
In what way? As was stated above O'Brien's mother handled and cooked real meat. Plus the Rikers weren't living on Earth and we've seen several planets cooking meat the traditional way and a lot of times when it's stated Humans don't do xyz it's very much just referring to Earth. I guess it depends on the interpretation of "enslaving animals for food" but it is also one solitary line of dialogue TNG itself retconned depending on how you interpret it.I hated that. It felt like they were deliberately trying to retcon TNG.
Wait, you actually meant that you thought he cooked animals while they were alive?I dunno, the ones on his grill looked kind of unaged (and skinned). I actually found it kinda disturbing, and I eat meat all the time.
