Does anyone think Star Trek Legacy will ever happen?

It would be a slap in the faces of Seven and the Enterprise-G crew if they have to keep constantly hauling the TNG crew out of mothballs whenever there's a problem.
I don’t see how. PIC S3 was about the TNG legends. Legacy is not.

In Legacy, the TNG crew would be where Scotty was in “Relics”. Still have something to offer, but generally, out of touch with the times. They shouldn’t be used to using holographic controls, or the Ent-G cloaking so freely and frequently. Or really grasp the proto-drive from PRO. Or struggle with new technology such as nanogel, quantum transducers, and polaric warp conduits, which is not new by the time of DIS S3. Or the galaxy more closer to a TOS environment than a TNG environment.

And the crew of Legacy is already distinct out of the gate. Legacy should be nicknamed “The xB Generation” since that’s what it is.

I think a 25th century show is inevitable and maybe a Captain Seven show is very possible (get Jack Crusher off that bridge though) but this specific idea was tanked the moment they called it Legacy and tied it to the idea of bringing back legacy actors and all the fan predictions were about which people they need to bring back.

I’m pretty sure once SNW is over and SFA season 2 is shown, Skydance will be doing their own thing unrelated to previous CBSTrek stuff.

I generally think so but I dont think they're going clean slate, or at least I dont think they'll be waiting two/three years to get started so we might be seeing some stuff soon. I doubt they want just 1 Trek show airing so I wouldn't be surprised if STA gets a third season to air alongside whatever theyre cooking up unless the ratings absolutely tank. My guess is 3 shows instead of 5 though.

I can't guarantee they'll call it Star Trek: Legacy.
