Replying many years later to provide some comfort to you, OP. I started watching TOS as a child in the 70s and McCoy always irked me. Changing times have little to do with it. I found him always to be throwing tantrums and whining about how great humans are. We're not great, Bones. I never found his insults of Spock in good fun either, just tiresome.
Does anyone else find McCoy annoying?

Ah, I see I've brought this up from the depths. At least if the OP is still here, my comments provide evidence of pre-90s dislike of McCoy.
Annoying is joining something and not reading the rules for posting.........might want to read them they include:
- Resurrecting dead threads. If you find a thread that has not had a post in it in over a year, don't post in it. Start a new thread instead. You can, if necessary, link back to the old thread if something crucial is in the thread.
