Doctor Who S7 Wishlist

awww, i want the Time Lords back....

bring back Gallifrey... would be nice to see that hypocritical aloof species again lol

not stupidly tricky to do...

the Time Lock has be broken numerous times now... have another season of characters breaking the time lock, and it could just be weakened from each 'break through', and then everything comes flooding back...

lots of chaos throughout the universe, just like The Doctor loves lol

As long as they bring back the rubbish beard as well.

But she's definately dead ;)

Interesting unless they just do like RTDs did and just bring him back without explaining how he got more regenerations.

Did it need to be explained? He said the Time Lords resurrected him, and we know the Time Lords can grant other Time Lords a new set of regenerations, they made such an offer to the Master himself. Therefore, logic suggests that the Time Lords granted the Master a new set of regenerations when they resurrected him. Problem solved.
That's what i'm saying. Doesn't need to be explained. Just bring him back. We can already guess how he returned, new set of regenerations etc.

Unless he looks a lot like John Simm again. We should have a new Master for a new-ish Doctor. Simm had two chances and the fans are still somewhat divided over how successful he was. Myself included.

I'm surprised at the Moffat hate. Admittedly I'm only halfway through 6 but I find it more original than it was in 3 and 4 when the overall arcs were the same again and again. And, it's also important to note that Doctor Who was NEVER consistent quality wise because it always tried to do different things.

Both of Moffat's seasons have revolved around a date which by itself is more of the same thing and wait til you see the season ender.

Series 1 arc - there's a word and in the last episode you're going to find out what it means
Series 2 arc - there's a word and in the last episode you're going to find out what it means
Series 3 arc - there's a word and in the last episode you're going to find out what it means
Series 4 arc - there's lots of words and in the last episode you're going to find out what it means

Series 5 arc - there's a visual effect and in the last episode you're going to find out what it means...but in the mean time it's going to be important to the stories rather than jurt being a wink wink (also we're already setting up the series 6 arc, in a way you won't even notice until later!)

Series 6 ar...HOLY SHIT THEY KILLED THE DOCTOR THEN BURNT HIM!

Well we've already seen rumors about the return of the Yeti and Sofia Myles and the Daleks. I would still like see more the Modasian Cybermen the long rumored Ice Warriors.

It's funny. People complain that Moffat isn't sticking to the simple, basic arc scheme used repeatedly during RTD's run, yet I know people would complain if Moffat just kept doing the same as RTD. Moffat can't win for losing.

I'd rather have a dull yet minor arc than a dull yet major one. And I'm more interested in the quality of individual stories anyway.

This is how the Tom Baker era generally was. They focused less on story arcs (aside from the Key to Time) and more on individual stories and adventures that held up well on their own. Why can't we have that again? I hate season-long story arcs with a passion. Sorry but that's just how it is.

This is a perfect description. I can understand not being as fond of Moffat's stories if you don't like the arc he's doing but I'm finding it fascinating so far. I'll be getting to the finale in a few days and I imagine that'll color my opinion a little but the ride has sure been fun.

Fan though I am of the stand-alone stories of old, the arc which has been created and built-up over the past couple of years has been outstanding in my opinion! I can't wait to see what happens next!

I read the EDA books and the Moffat plotline reminds me of them. It's more mature and more daring than the ones under RTD's run (don't get me wrong, I liked RTD even if I didn't always agree with his direction).

there's also the bit where they bring back an old villain in the series finale, after telegraphing their return in an earlier story.

Dalek --> Dalek army in POTW
Age of the Cybermen --> Army of Ghosts
crippled bloke in a wheelchair in VOTD --> Davros in SE/JE

and i'm pretty sure someone pointed out something which foreshadowed The Master's return as well...
