The Cybermen have always been compared to the Borg. But what about WHO's other aliens?
The Ice Warriors are kind of similar to the Klingons, in a sense. They start off as antagonists, but then become sort of the good guys, although there are still renegade factions oppossed to peace.
The Q continuum are a bit like the Time Lords-They started out as a fairly sinister, god-like opponent, but later sort of drift into comic relief in later serials. They also put the main character(s) on trial at times but often seek to help them out in a weird way.
Slitheen are sort of like the Ferengi. Both are attempts by then new continuations to create a 'new threat' that didn't quite work out 100% and both are dedicated to profit....although whereas the Ferengi are an entire race, the Slitheen are only a family from their race.
