Re: Doctor Who – 4x08 – Silence in the Library (Grade/Discuss)

I was thinking the message was urgent being on the psychic paper and all but then again rewatching it I guess not. Seems an odd time to request a date being in the middle of an expedition and all, though I suppose she'd know he likes a good mystery. Actually I don't see a direct connection with her and the paper, maybe she didn't send the request after all?

Re: Doctor Who – 4x08 – Silence in the Library (Grade/Discuss)

That's how the Face of Bo, who is also originally from the 51st century contacted him in the second season episode "New earth". :) Some sort of radiotelepathytransmitter is probably standard with her kit right along side that squareness gun.

DOH! The "ghosting" occurs because their psyche is half loaded into the machine so that they can send "headmail" (what was the term?) to each other. The tech to send a message tot he Doctors psychic paper is built into the space suits of every one of those buggers.

The call for help included "kisses".

Which brings us back to gagging for a snog.

This was a pretty good episode. I gave it an above average.

I liked the doctor's future companion. Especially how she teased the Doctor with his own No Spoilers rule. It sounds as if this version of the Doctor is going to live for quite some time. Donna was awesome as usual. She is by far my favorite companion for the Doctor. Hopefully the next episode gives us a good payoff.

Fantastic! Very chilling in parts; the skeleton in the suit chasing after them was great and the flesh head doodads we're freaky as hell. I suppose this episode could make the people scared of their own shadows feel justified.

"Hey, who turned out the lights?!??"

^^^^ The "Are you my Mummy?" quote for Season 4. :)

Those 45 minutes just whizzed right by. Outstanding episode.

Two days to go......I must admit I'm really looking forward to the next part, and that does not happen much...

Is it wrong that I'm looking more forward to Doctor Who than Battlestar this week? Of course it's been that way for a while now but I don't think I've had this much anticipation for a Doctor Who episode. Last week really would have been a damn good season finale.

I've been reading all the speculation over at OG and I'm really psyched up to see what happens, I can't wait for the next part.

not really BSG isnt that good.

^All a matter of opinion, of course. ;)

Nope, but then I've been a fan of Doctor Who longer than the new series of Battlestar Galactica existed (I can't claim that for the original since it aired before I was born ;)).

I still think it's good but it's gotten so overrated lately that it's taken some of the joy out of watching it. That, and the writing has been not so steller lately this season. Other than a few instances, they've been stalling, and that absolutely sucks. We have our beginning and middle. This season should be telling the End and it isn't.

With Doctor Who, there hasn't been a bad episode this season yet even though it's the truth. Yeah Doctor's Daughter might have been the weakest, but it was still enjoyable, and Georgina Moffett was absolute eye candy. After last week's episode though and with things still to come (I'm still not spoiled other than I can't wait to see Rose return), I can't wait to see what happens next. Last week's episode felt like only 10 minutes flew by and that doesn't happen with a lot of my TV viewing. When it was over, I was like "holy crap that's it. That was too damn short." ;)

Just got done watching the episode. First off I thought the actress playing Miss Evangelista was cute. Couldn't understand the part with "I was pleased"

I like the future soon to be companion plot. It's like "Blink" with the "you don't know me yet because we haven't met yet"

River's sonic screwdriver looked real old. I want that tardis book, screw the spoilers;)

Looked like River flipped through 10 pages and that probably equaled all 40+years of the show alone/ doctors adventures alone! I guess 900 years does seem young when the book looked like it could go to the doctor at the age of 5000.

I had a thought that if Russell wrote this River would turn out to be Captain Jack

I'll probably add more but a tornado is looming.

I liked the line: "It is a security camera, an alive one" haha

I'm guessing the girl is the computer, it gives me a Resident Evil vibe

Girl- your all going to die down here

*laser net slices Dr Moon into tiny pieces* ;)

I started watching the original BSG and the original Who at roughly the same time! And, now, I'm still watching them together!

No last weeks Who was indeed a fine episode, i personally usually never get into the whole" cant wait till next week " thing, but last weeks story was just so good, considering the amount of total guff that's on TV its nice to every now and then get a gem like last weeks episode on a TV show.....in my personal opinion if 20% of TV programs had the quality of last weeks Who episode we would be living in a another golden age of TV.

No one's asked the obvious question. It's a bit off topic, but I'd like to know:

Who would like to be a member of The Library?

Just think about it for a few minutes. :)

I was thinkign maybe River Song hasn't met the Doctor, maybe she just found the book about him and picked up bits and peices of his stuff that he had left around the universe.

Remember Kate O'Mara's Rani dressed up as Mel while Sylvester's Doctor was in the fits of regeneration sickness?
