Do you wash?

I shower every second day. My water is really hard and strips my hair and skin. I break out if I shower more or less than that, it was hard finding a balance, cuz I love being in the water.

I have dry skin and my Doctor told me to take baths not showers - it washes all the moisture off me. I need to soak in oils. Besides I'm allergic to half the soaps and gells.

I've only ever brushed my teeth once a day though - and have ridiculously strong teeth and no fillings.

OMG! I shower once on a regular day...if I haven't done anything maybe 2 days...but if I have been active and or meeting a girl...I shower more.

People have different skin, hair, and sweat glands. My college roommate would become a sweaty mess just from walking to class. My skin and hair get really greasy, and my face breaks out, if I don't bathe twice a day. Some people's skin lets them get away with not showering for a much longer time. I have a friend who only bathes once a week, and it's not even noticeable. It's all biology.

True...it is funny my body reacts horrible(Smell bad) to men's deodorant, cologne & body spray...but If I wear stuff that is geared toward women...I smell fine.

Those can be good too... only I never want to get out! :D I have trouble with a lot of those gels and junk too. And strong perfumes. >.<

I'd have no fillings too but for crazy deep... molar... valleys?

When I wake up, I'm covered in my own bodily juices

Not going there...

But yeah, I know what you mean. I have no control over the heat in my apartment (if there's a thermostat, I've been unable to find it and I'm about two weeks shy of having been living here for 13 years), and I can't sleep without some kind of cover, even if it's a single cotton sheet. As a result, on warm nights or winter nights when the heat is cranked up, I can wake up feeling quite grimy and sweaty.

Mind you, I don't shower or bathe before bed. If I did, I might feel cleaner in the mornings, but my hair would be a disaster and I'd have to wash it anyway. I'd probably end up taking a full shower just because it's easier. And like you, I feel better.

I think George Carlin's take on bodily hygiene is appropriate here:

Unless you work out, or work outdoors, or for some reason come in intimate contact with huge amounts of filth and garbage every day, you don't always need a shower. All you really need is to wash the four key areas: armpits, asshole, crotch and teeth! Got that? The hooker’s bath. Armpits, asshole, crotch and teeth. In fact, you can save yourself a whole lot of time if you simply use the same brush on all four areas!

^ I would think feet need to be added to that. By the time you're done doing all those though, it would be easier just to take a shower!

I was under the impression it was the French, who don't shower a lot.

If you stand at the basin, you get soap all over the floor, and you can't get your tackle and ring really clean unless you dunk them, and you don't want to be using a facecloth, for your ring. You can do it, though.

A cold shower or bath only takes a minute.

My secretarys love cleaning my tackle, and soaping my taut, muscular, body.

You're way too obsessed with this cold shower thing. Cold showers are like torture!

Motion seconded. I've took cold showers at a camp ground before, and those showers lasted far less than a minute. There wasn't any way I was going to walk a quarter mile through the damp grass and trees in the 58 degree morning air and then also stand underneath a cold water fawcet for a full minute. I stayed in there the absolute minimum necessary to dampen myself, dry off, and look presentable afterward. :p

I shower about 3 times a day, but then I deal with horses and they do smell and my partner is highly allergic.
