Do you wash?

I am a mother of young children, so I don't have a set time that I shower.. just for sure once a day. LOL Most of the time, it's in the morning but sometimes I don't make it until the evening. But those days (where I hit the shower before bed) are generally days I'm not out in public either.

I live in the desert. I also exercise regularly and vigorously. Not showering is not an option.

I could not go a day without showering. I love taking showers. I certainly would never go out without having a had a shower AND putting on deodorant.

I shower every morning, and as a general rule before going out. When I do, I scrub soap all over, washing my hair and my face, and then a spray of deodorant after getting out.

Otherwise, I just don't feel clean. If I've had a rough day, or a long day, I'll have a shower in the evening as well. The only limiting factor is the quality of the showers available.

I live in an old house with no shower, just a bath, so some mornings I sponge bathe over the sink if I'm running late. Being on a water meter doesn't help when you have a huge 1930s cast iron bathtub. We're planning on having the bathroom redone, complete with shower, but what with the original lead plumbing it's going to be costly, so it could be another year before this happens.

I miss the old iron tub I had in a previous house. I usually showered, but an occasional long soak in the deep tub was wonderful. I hope yours has claw feet, like mine did!

No, it's not clawed, sadly. I love soaking in the bath as well but it's a big tub and, being metal, it sucks the heat out of the water at an alarming rate in the winter. We're on a water meter and not flat rates, so once we get a shower our water bills should drop significantly. Before the bathroom is redone, however, the rewiring needs to be completed. I love older houses but they're expensive to update.

I shower two or three times a week. During the summer I may wash my body in-between but I never wash my hair more often because then it starts getting greasier.

If I sweat or don't feel clean enough for whatever reason, I just shower. It's not that hard. :p

I've noticed that some people have a very strong body odor even if they shower more often than me, they are just unlucky...

I have the ability to skip a day of showering if I wanted to as I don't get very stinky in my office job (though of course any yard work or such and that's right into the shower with me), but I also have some sort of sensory thing where I feel the compulsion to shower every morning after waking up or my skin gets the creepy-crawlies.

My wife has done reading on more natural living, and in addition to using better soaps and shampoos, she read it can be better for your skin and hair health to not shower so often or your skin/hair can get dried out.

Weirdly enough, I had a similar experience to the OP's this morning. It's now getting too cold to leave the train windows open and so my ride to work wasn't pleasant. If I can smell your sweat through your leather jacket, you should probably take a shower and change your clothes...

Dear wife and I are very clean, I detest body filth so I shower 2 times per day at about 10 minutes each..wife takes 1 15 minute shower in the morning and 1 5 minute shower at night..

I shave 6 days per week, and wear deodorant every day.. I will not stink..it's just wrong...

however there are some folks out there that bathe only 1 time a week..and you can really tell that's the case...
And some who are worse...

Honestly, please folks WIPE YOUR ASS at least, don't go throughout the day smelling like old excrement..(I bet they don't flush either..)

we are for the most part over clean. We need to shower so often because we have stripped our skin of it's natural oils and it is trying to replenish them.

but, I shower every day lol

I shower every day, and sometimes twice a day depending on if I feel sweaty or dirty or just 'icky.'

I have read about not washing hair every day, but I if I don't, my hair gets greasy looking and Ijust don'tl like that.

I try to take tepid likey showers versus hot, but I do shave everyday. Living in Florida where you wear shorts and tanks, etc. all the time... it is just something I do. However.. with washing body, hair, conditioning hair and shaving, I still don't take long showers...probably 10 mihutes tops.

I tend to take "Navy showers," get all wet, turn the water off, soap and shampoo, turn the water back on only long enough to rinse off. Usually two or three short showers a day, almost never take baths, don't even have a tub in my place.

Unlike some here I like sweat, I like the way it smells when it new and hot (not old and dried on) kind of sexy on people. I'm usually in either a gym or a dojo six days a week and there are a lot of sweaty boy and girl about ...
to each their own.

I try to shower every day. Sometimes it's every other day. When I was at my most depressed, it was once a week, and I didn't like that, but I didn't have the motivation to do anything about it. I am OCD, so I take 40 minute showers because I have to be clean.

I shower, shampoo, and use deodorant every morning before going to work. There's absolutely no excuse for anyone to stink unless they've been living on the street for weeks.
. . . cleanliness is next to godliness, you know.
Flanders and Swann would agree with you. ;)

I like to stay clean, so I shower as often as I feel I need to. At most, that's once a day, and at least, it's every other day. Actually, I find often I do it every day and a half (i.e. shower Monday morning, then Tuesday night, then Thursday morning, etc.).
