Do you love or hate Terry Farrell as Jadzia Dax?

Some claim that only a small minority hate Terry Farrell as Jadzia Dax. I thought it would be good to put that idea to the test to see how many people love or hate Terry Farrell as Jadzia Dax and if it is indeed a small minority or not.

Hence the Poll in this thread is here to investigate that question.

Somewhat black and white this poll, but yes, I do like her character and Terry Farrell's portrayal of it. Personally I never much cared for her looks, but Dax is a very interesting character skillfully played by Farrell. Thinking about it, I liked all episodes that featured her.

If I absolutely had to pick one or the other, I'd say love, but honestly, it wouldn't really go that far.

I certainly don't hate her, however.

She is one of my favorite characters in all of Star Trek (maybe even the favorite) and in my opinion the hottest woman to ever be in Trek. So, obviously I voted for "love her".

Jadzia the character varied wildly depending on the writers. At her worst, irritating. At her best, intriguing.
Terry Farrel was not the worlds greatest actress, and seemed a little flat at times. When she got things right though she delivered the goods.
Plus, she was sizzling hot.

Jadzia was absolutely the hottest trill on the program! It did make me nervous that Sisko (Mr. Boring) called her "Old Man" though. It sort of made me question my masculinity.

I don't love or hate her, I tolerate her. I don't think she ever hurt the show, but at the same time I never felt like she added much to it either.

Of all the actors of the main cast I always felt that Farrell was the weakest. I didn't hate her, but wasn't really impressed with her. Then when the whole Worf and Dax relationship began it got cringe worthy.

I went with "hate", although my real feeling isn't that strong. I'll say this: I liked Terry Farrell as Dax up until I discovered that she had manuevered herself into a corner where she felt like she had to leave the show to save face due to a failed attempt to get a raise. Not bright. It was a bit of a betrayal of the role she was playing (when she had to know the show was coming to an end before long, anyway), and a bit of disregard for the fans.

Ezri was alright, but her introduction felt forced (which it was), and de Boer didn't have time to build the new character up very well. For both of those things, I also blame Farrell.

I don't hate her, though - it seems to me that her actions were due to a bit of general ignorance combined with the seemingly all-too-common feeling amongst Trek actors that "it's just a tv show" and acting on it is "just a gig." Not real outright hate or disrespect for the fans, like a couple of them that I can think of.

This poll really should have some in-between options. But personally, I did love Terry Farrell as Jadzia Dax...that is, when she got her personality sometime in season 2. I think that ultimately I really liked Ezri a lot more, but Jadzia was quirky and a lot of fun.

I did like Ezri a lot. If others were the hottest female in Trek, she was the cutest, and by a long margin. But - a large part of the reason that Ezri was such a breath of fresh air was directly related to the Jadzia story. There had been a lot of heavy stuff going on, and having Ezri come in S7 lightened things up considerably.

But yes, I loved TF as Jadzia. Awesome character, and its ok if it took some time to percolate.
