^^ Really? I'm always able to check in from other locations even though I never log out at home.

^I think there's some sort of time delay involved. If you don't do anything on the board for a specific period you are kicked off -after that it should be no problem logging on elsewhere -or coming home and logging on again.

^Don't think so... I can be surfing TBBS on my desktop, and when I start my browser on the laptop at the same time, I'm logged in there as well.

Sounds like some kind of anomaly or setting on your friend's system trekkiedane. In the course of testing the board I've been logged in simultaneously on three different systems here at home without an issue. Same thing with leaving my laptop logged in at home and using a different system at work at the same time.

But how long time does it take you to get from home to work?

Three different systems at home, wow, how many different IP-addresses?

Not that I doubt what you are telling me, I just find it hard to believe that any one account can be accessed from multiple places at the same time -if it indeed is so it must be a glitch in the security of this board.

Oh, and yes, my friends system is definitely flawed!

I live very close by, so about 10 minutes.

Each machine has it's own IP address.

I only do it to annoy Spiff. :D

To be honest, I think the only account security built in to vBulletin is your user password.

Yes, but only because it's force of habit.

As for logging on using different ip addresses at the same time, haven't done it here, but on one of the other vbulletin boards I've used, I needed to do it just to run a check on something.
