Do you have a pet?

How many of you have pets? If so, what kind and do they have a scifi or fantasy name?

I have a black cat named Chewie (after Chewbacca) and an ex-racing greyhound named Magic. His racing name was Magic inthestars and I liked the name so I kept it especially since the day I got word that my former apartment complex would permit larger dogs was the day of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince book release parties.

Right now I have two female Budgies (Nibbles and Bluebell) and a Male Gerbil (Toby). One female Gerbil (Squeak) died recently at age 4 and another female Gerbil I had (Speedy) died last year also aged around 4 years.
Once these pets are gone I probably won't buy anymore.

I have a fox terrier/dachsund mix and a grey tiger-striped cat that I "inherited" from my daughter when she graduated from college.

My parents have a very old black Labrador (who's greying nicely around the paws and snout). No sci-fi name, though.

This is Spike. Spike eats souls, though he is also functionally retarded and prone to wandering around the house meowing as though he is a lost soul searching for guidance.

This is Cherry. Cherry is considerably more grouchy than Spike, and does not take well to being photographed.

I have a cat (Mister Kitty... very original) and a pair of chinchillas (Jiggly Puff and Mr. Marbles).

Blackjack could not be bothered to pose for a photo. Despite my saying his name about 40 times, he just yawned and stayed curled up in daddy's office chair.

I have two dogs - one with a scifi name and one not.

I have a cocker spaniel named Annabelle...and a Yorkshire Terrier named Rygel. I named him Rygel after the character on Farscape, because Yorkies are known for being small and despotic.

I had another Yorkie before Rygel...and her name was Ewok.

I have a 14 year old Yorkshire Terror... erm, Terrier named Tilly. We had a thing about giving our pets Victorian-era names.

My sister also has a Tabby Cat named Sid after the Carry On actor Sid James. (We used to have another Yorkie named Hattie after Hattie Jacques)

Our previous cat was named Ani after Anakin Skywalker, though.
