There it is again
What stating a fact? Some folks get really upset when you point them out.
There it is again
No, your fan rage. I know nothing of the comic, and no one is upset.
Dude, I saw a thread over this on another forum, like 2 or 3 years back. That was how I even knew who he was. You did not know who he was, so can't honestly say "No one was upset". Someone got "Fan ragey" enough to start a thread over it. It was a glorious rant about how Worf had killed him and stolen his place in Star trek lore. If you don't think fans do that kinda thing, you have not been around fans long.
Jeff Loeb said something like the fact, "If you kill even the most minor character in DC Comics, you will get death threats. I got one for killing Turner D. Century."
Oh yeah, I was over on the old Wotc forums when 4th edition came out and they nuked the Forgotten realms setting. They had to shut the novel section down as people where giving death threats to the writers. Not one or two, but dozens. I have seen this stuff go super nasty. Hell, I once saw a fist fight in real life over which ruleset of a game was better. So I laugh when I am told "No one was upset over x".
Hey man, I *HATED* the Spellplague but people should show some class.
Forget Spock's ears. THAT'S what getting your head caught in a mechanical rice picker looks like.
Like open war between the Federation and the Klingons ten year before TOS? More on that hereThinking about it, a reboot would only happen if things categorically happen in DIS that will invalidate established canon in TOS and the other series. For example, if McCoy guest stars on the show and is then killed. This would invalidate TOS, meaning we were categorically in an alternate timeline. Anything less than that would be more a matter of interpretation.
I said "no one is upset." I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, but post after post(and thread after thread)of complaining about historical and potential complainers puts you right in their league, with simply a different focus for your derision and schadenfruede than theirs.Oh yeah, I was over on the old Wotc forums when 4th edition came out and they nuked the Forgotten realms setting. Good griefIt is no my issue you are upset about me pointing out facts you do not want to hear. And yes, you were wrong when you said no one was Upset. People get upset if someone makes a mistake in a line or the show does not enshrine whatever fan canon they want them to. Its the nature of fandom
Good grief
"No one is upset" The here, the now. This thread. What's the purpose of complaining about whiny fans in practically every post, mocking them at every opportunity. That makes you no better than they are.
In addition to that, making snide comments about posters here as general statements rather than directly to them as they are right here in the thread with you. It's derisive.
If this site, that we're on now, were filled with vitriolic, negative comments, you might have some sparring partners to vent your grievances on, but as it is, you are on smear campaign of straw men.
It's a reboot.
And calm down. It's called an opinion. The producers say it's not, and promised an explanation. And if I want to call a potato a potawto that's my business anyway.
No, it's po-tah-to.You can call a potato a potawto, but one of those pronunciations is correct and acceptable, the other isn't, and if you call it that, you're pretty damned stupid.
