Do People Under 30 Like This Movie Better Than Older Folks?

I'm 51 and have been a ST fan since I was 8, and I love this movie. My 28-year-old son, 19-year daughter, and 16-year-old twins love the movie. I don't think there is a generation gap here.

I'm 42 and I think the movie was a terrible piece of science fiction pretending to be Star Trek. You can call it Star Trek, but I never believed these actors were Kirk, Spock and McCoy, it was not their acting that lacked as much as it was the storyline, the alternative universe, the alternative Enterprise which despite the huge budget still managed look like crap. I can go on forever, I'm glade I didn't pay to see the film as I won the movie ticket at work.

I'm 27 and I loved it, even though it seemed to be geared more toward those "ADHD kids". I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone over 50, it was just too fast.

Old enough to have seen almost all of the other Trek films in the theater, and at least this time, I didn't leave disappointed. Either that or I just have low expectations :)
