Libby?

He'd already dumped her, and moved on.

Allowing alt Libby to molest him would have been rape by fraud, since she was under a missassumption about who she was giving it to, which is rude, and why Sisko deserved more than a slap for making the beast with two backs with mirror Jadzia.

A while back, there, a girl on these boards suggested I consider getting with a woman of size -- not realising her to be a woman of size, herself. Honestly, I thought she meant it as a joke, so I started typing out jokes about it and ... I've always suspected that I may have hurt her feelings. So, now, I don't discuss the topic lightly. I try to be reasonably straightforward on the subject. But I do, I really do feel that celebrities should be fit, for the sake of being photogenic and having some range. Also, to inspire the impressionable to also stay in shape, as it were. It's a wonderful feeling of empowerment, as well ... you really get the feeling as though you can take on the world, by yourself.

Actors give up many of rights we take for granted, to be treated as people.

They're treated like animals most of the time.

That's like winning the Lottery and complaining about having to pay taxes. Or becoming the President and complaining about having to wear a tie. If they're lucky enough to get what they wanted ... then, shut up.

On the other hand mirror Jadzia didn't have a worm in her belly (I bet that worm can be a real mood killer), which is an advantage plus she seemed kind of a slut.

In Dark Matter, they beam the bio-data instantly to half a galaxy away, build a clone, and then the clone when it's finished it's task, kills it self to beam back all it's new memories back to the original waiting in a pod.

Slipstream travel in Andromeda sounds a lot like teleportation, only the people whizzing through subspace still perceive that they are on a ship and that haven't been squashed into flat photons.

If you're a lead, paid the big bucks, sure.

Extras in minor roles also get treated like garbage, and can have as little as nothing show for all that judgement.

Rom said it best " You don't understand. Ferengi workers don't want to stop the exploitation. We want to find a way to become the exploiters."

B'Elanna's dad did

I always wondered what B'Elanna's mom ever saw in him. Mr. Torres seemed like kind of a milquetoast - not really somebody that a Klingon woman would be interested in.

As for Tom & Harry? Meh. Two guys can be friends and not have to have anything more than that.

Well, love is essentially blind. You see unlikelier pairings in real life often enough.

In my case, and probably yours, literally the first time we saw these actors, it was as these characters after all.
That gets magnified if we find the characters attractive. Another example... Melora in Ds9 is more attractive than Grace Holloway in Doctor Who, from my perspective. It's because I would have found the angry scientist attractive in Ds9, and the character in Who not so much...also I did not even equate the two at first, because guest cast drifts by quite often. Yet this is the same person playing both roles.
:vulcan:

Unless I caught them on a barely-remembered episode of Bonanza (yeah, I'm old enough to remember that show when it was in its first run), I'm reasonably sure TOS was the first time I ever saw any of the Star Trek actors.

But the other series? I saw Patrick Stewart in I, Claudius, Dune, and Lady Jane before seeing him in TNG. My first time seeing LeVar Burton was in Roots. There were other examples.

As for the question of Harry and Tom... nope, I never thought of them as anything other than best friends. They're the Miles and Julian of Voyager.

Of course there are slashfics in almost any combination you can think of, plus some that seem a bit weird. There are actual print zines with Paris/Chakotay stories. One of the series I got into a few weeks ago on fanfiction.net is a pairing between Seven of Nine and Samantha Wildman.
