Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph" trailer

Paperman actually just won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Sun. Night.

I'm glad too - thoroughly deserved. I can't remember enjoying an animated short that much in many a year. Brilliant.

I am ashamd to say I just watched this today on blu-ray. I figured it would be good because of some of the humor and video game references, but I was not expecting a solid story with genuine emotional moments and characters I actually cared about, the little twist towards the end got me as well. Fantastic movie all around, just a solid movie and a love letter to video games, arcades, bygone eras, and fans of them.

I picked up Wreck-It Ralph and Brave the other day on DVD. Now I just need to find time to watch them again. :D

Finally saw this, and thought it was an absolute blast. I don't play videogames anymore, but I was completely addicted to the arcade as a kid, and seeing all those old-school games and characters again was cool as hell (especially my favorite, RoadBlasters, which I remember making a LOT of trips to the local drug store to play).

Everything from the way characters moved to the music had me grinning like an idiot, and I can't wait to see the sequel.

In fact, between this, Tangled, and Bolt, I think I'm actually starting to like Disney's new homegrown stuff more than Pixar.

And all three made since Lasseter began his run as chief creative officer of Disney. The lines between Disney and Pixar are almost blurred away at this point. (At least from a viewer's perspective.)
