According to James Frain, Sarek is Burnham's adoptive father.

After the last season of Orphan Black with James Frain being so horribly evil, I'm really looking forward to seeing him in a completely different role.

If this show lasts a few seasons, it is totally inevitable that we'll get a visit by a young Spock if Sarek continues to be a main (or at least reoccurring) character.

I really don't like this adoptive father storyline. She could have just been his student, whose parents were living on Vulcan.

Oh my, what an amazingly good-looking cast! There seems to be a very good chemistry going on between the main players. I hope this will also be evident on the screen.

As for the adoptive father storyline? I think it's great. It might also retroactively add texture and layers to Spock's relationship with his father. I'm very curious how this will play out. Bring it on!

I'm glad they knew enough to correct the interviewer by saying Captain Janeway was the first woman Captain. For a microsecond, my blood was boiling!
