Sorry, but that's BS - the terms shouldn't change. In the Pike/TOS era it was either "Shore Party" or "Landing Party".

So she's essentially Sarek's daughter? Very interesting, but hard to fit with canon. I'm curious what Kurtzman's "Be patient with us" comment will mean for her story.

 

Jeff Russo is the composer. I'm not familiar with his work. I hope it's good.

I just looked him up quickly on Youtube. His theme from Fargo is unigue. Hopefully that bodes well for DSC.

 

I took that as asking people to be patient and let them explain the story.

 

We never heard of Sybok until Star Trek V, it isn't unprecedented.

 

It means they have a plan.

 

But another unknown "sibling" seems to be pushing things a bit. Will have to wait and see how it plays out.

 

I'm guessing something happens between them like with Sybok that causes her to be sort of disowned. Where this is really going to mess things up is novels about Spock's history.
