This almost leads me to believe at some point in the series Lorca might actually end up the antagonist to Burnham's protagonist. Interesting.

We never heard of Sybok until Star Trek V, it isn't unprecedented.

We never heard of Sybok until Star Trek V, it isn't unprecedented.

But another unknown "sibling" seems to be pushing things a bit. Will have to wait and see how it plays out.

I'm guessing something happens between them like with Sybok that causes her to be sort of disowned. Where this is really going to mess things up is novels about Spock's history.
