Not sure I follow the question.Hmm. I guess. Much like Luke's pilot skills. I guess it's episode viii that will tell how far she is along the curve. Shouldn't technically bb8 have been the death not Han?

But it isn't just the person who called her to action, but also the person she admires and is being mentored by. Neither Finn nor BB8 fit that role.If she's following the whole heros path thing and mirroring Luke in episode IV....her hand to hand combat being analogous to his piloting skills...then logically the person who called her to action is bb8 in the obi-wan role..maybe Finn. Só death of the advisor shouldn't be Han.
She was a junk peddler who squatted in an abandoned vehicle and nursed severe emotional problems stemming from parental abandonment. I see people like that almost every day. Some of them actually do have combat training and experience. None of them are in any shape, physically or mentally, to take charge, fight bad guys, and go off on adventures. Rey would have been a lot more interesting if she was as messed up as her background suggests she should be.I think she had more combat skills with melee due to growing up on Jakku so it seemed consistent to me.![]()
She was more messed up than generally she is given credit for. Also, I too see that everyday, and I don't need that to be as heavy handed in a space fantasy film. She was a junk peddler who squatted in an abandoned vehicle and nursed severe emotional problems stemming from parental abandonment. However if they did the same for Trek it'd feel like Voyager 2.0 and I really could do without that.
Or TNG 2.0As a comedy show I like the look of it. The lighting, the costumes, the designs and effects all fit.

Incorrect. Despite what Paul Feig and his on-line fans said, there was no misogynist "crusade" against Ghostbusters: Answer The Call. While there were loud detractors of the reboot for having an all female cast, the VAST MAJORITY of criticism was all geared towards how the then released trailer looked. The brouhaha came about because there's a vocal subset of sexist man-children with antisocial personalities who like to constantly throw out terms like "snowflakes" and "SJWs" and "safe spaces" as pejoratives despite being such wusses that they're intimidated by the very existence of a movie they liked from 30 years ago being remade with women actors (or girl gamers for another example), as if that cancels out the existence of the original or somehow threatens men.
If they had just shut the hell up and stopped turning their misogyny into a crusade the film would have faded into obscurity for being one of a million mediocre remakes. If anything they helped generate more revenue for the film by making it an event.
There were plenty of people who criticized the film based on the trailers alone, but don't blow sunshine up my ass and try to tell me there wasn't a huge contingent of people pissed about the all-female cast. I've never been to a Paul Feig social media or fansite but still encountered plenty of that sexism and hostility here and elsewhere and in attacks on members of the cast (in particular Leslie Jones).Incorrect. Paul Feig, the cast and Paul Feig fans on social media then began a false narrative that any and all criticism of the Ghostbusters reboot was due to nothing more than "man children" with sexist tendencies, conveniently ignoring any and all valid criticisms even from female Ghostbusters fans.
I told you the facts, you choosing to ignore them only says something about youThere were plenty of people who criticized the film based on the trailers alone, but don't blow sunshine up my ass and try to tell me there wasn't a huge contingent of people pissed about the all-female cast. That's not what happened.I told you the facts

I don't want to pay for CBS all access. The Orville I can at least watch on tv.
Yes. I barely watch CBS and already have Netflix. So, you're fine paying far more for cable, but not CBSAA?
