I don't think we've done this here for Disco. We've done it for other trek shows but what other TV shows or productions have you seen the cast of Discovery?

I was watching NCIS Hawaii and Jake Weber who played Zareh in seson 3 of Disco was in there as a gruff ex NCIS agent turned detective.

Sonequa Martin Green of course was on The Walking Dead for several seasons before Disco.

David Ajala was on Doctor Who. The Beast Below with Matt Smith.

Anthony Rapp was on The X Files, season 5's Detour.

The fourth season episode of OG NCIS titled Cover Story features both Jayne Brook and Wilson Cruz. Brook plays a CEO and Cruz is her personal assistant. Also on NCIS, Oded Fehr had a recurring role in the tenth season as a renegade Mossad agent.

I've watched every episode of NCIS, and I have no memory of any of them. Then again I've only watched most episodes once, so not surprising.

I don't remember Jayne Brook and Wilson Cruz on NCIS either so mustn't have been paying attention. I got Zareh right off the bad though due to his voice and way he carries himself.

Oded Fehr also did the Mummy movies and they were fun, and the first season of Blood And Treasure as a baddie

Jenette Goldstein, who handled voice acting as a computer in Ephraim and Dot (Short Trek but I'm including it as Short Trek seems to get lumped in with Discovery) has been in.. well.. everything, Aliens, Terminator 2, but going back to Trek was also in a small role in Generations.

James Frain was awesome as Ferdinand in Orphan Black. I remember when he was cast as Sarek, and that was a casting I was very excited about.

Anthony Rapp of course was in Rent (The play and the movie)

The first thing I ever saw Anthony Rapp in was "Dazed and Confused".

Shawn Doyle (scientist in s4) was Errinwright in The Expanse.

Jason Issac has been in loads of stuff but sci-fi fans will know him from Event Horizon.

But looking at his role history, I had seen him before Rent, but just forgot.

I remember Cruz from "My So Called Life". That show seemed pretty huge at the time for the few weeks it seemed to air.

Wilson Cruz was also in the final episode of Pushing Daisies (), "Kerplunk". He played "solo synchro sensation (in a speedo)", Sid Tango.

The guy who plays Sarek is also in 24 as the ex husband of Jack’s girlfriend.

I felt unfair that it took me a long time to accept Sonequa Martin Green in Discovery because I didn’t like her character on the Walking Dead.

Lot of L&O actors in DSC:

- SMG was on Criminal Intent. I think she was like 14 or 15 at the time.
- James Frain and Anthony Rapp were on SVU
- Anson Mount was on the mothership and Conviction

And the actress who played Dennas (the Klingon), I saw her on stage with Second City Toronto! She was hilarious. I wanted to ask her about playing a Klingon but I totally forgot

I remember him from the movie Frequency. His character had his hand shot off in 1969 and his 1999 self watched it disappear.

Actors from 19-2 (a Montréal cop series I've become very fond of) have been popping up lately as well. Two in DSC (one was Airiam's husband, the other one of the prisoners who got into a fight in the mess hall) and one in SNW (Admiral April).

Edit: You should really check out 19-2. It's a great show. Here's a scene from an episode about a school shooting (the entire scene is done in ONE CONTINUOUS TAKE!)

About that Short Trek with Tilly and her mom: Why was Mimi Kuzyk so badly lit? You could barely tell it was her!

They could have used anybody, but the fact that they had an experienced actor to play Siobhan suggested that they were up to something. But why DID they use a veteran actor and barely show her face?

Edit: I would love to see Patrick McKenna (Harold from The Red Green Show, Marty Stephens on Traders) turn up in Trek. Especially since Harold was such a Trek geek.

The NCIS franchise is kind of a gold mine for Trek actors, innit? Three of the leads from New Orleans alone are Trek vets!
