Discovered Gilmore Girls

Just finished season 4. What can I say? Rory, I'm a little bit disappointed in you. tsk, tsk, tsk.

I still find the show somewhat therapeutic after a trying day at work.

He's the naked guy from the dorm, right? I like him. I don't know if I ever really saw him as a potential love interest, but he seems like a nice, sincere, genuine, stand up fellow.

I'll have to let you know when I get there. I just met Logan. First impression is he seems like a jerk. Seems to be Rory's type.

Oh, just wait. He improves, but only marginally. But Rory as you know her is gone forever now.

The fact that so many people love Logan still boggles my mind, 10 years later.

Part of my irrational hate for him is because I was interested in a girl when I was in college (again, I was the same age as Rory in the show, so same year)...and I was "the friend" (like Marty), while she got hooked by a guy very much like Logan.

That's one thing you can say about Gilmore Girls. Stars' Hollow may be a fishbowl fantasyland, but a lot of the situations in the show are very true-to-life.

This saddens me. :( But I look forward to seeing how she changes.

You say this now.... :lol:

I watched every week the first 3-4 seasons, watched way less because of the Dean is married and Logan in season 5 (Plus Luke seemed weird.) I gave up on it in the first half of season 6 for good.

The show is better in a binge because there is a storyline in the beginning of season 6 that DRAGS on, but in binge watching it's not as bad.

I'm only two episodes from starting season 6. I'm really anxious to see what all the fuss is about that season.

It's one of those things that you know it when you see it. I stopped watching by then (Fucking Logan), but there was an ad I saw and I went "Yep, glad I gave up on this garbage". It's that bad. You need to be prepared for how bad it is.

There are three main issues with season 6, spread out throughout the season so it really is a failure.

Beginning... :( :thumbdown:
Middle.... :ack::censored::brickwall::barf::crazy::shrug::thumbdown::wah::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall::censored::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall: :censored:
End... :rolleyes: :censored::thumbdown:

I can't wait until you reach the plot-line. Maybe it's not as bad to newbies. I think it was the worst thing to ever happen on the show.

Thankfully the new writers in season 7 fixed it greatly. (Just to be destroyed again in the Netflix movies. :))

When I saw Season 6, I literally was like "WTF is going on? None of this should be happening. Literally none of this makes sense."

Of course later, upon reflection, it does make sense...but it was still forced and unneeded.

Well, I just finished season 5, so I guess it's time to start the "Dark Ages." Wish me luck. ;)

It makes sense if you know the writers were bitches and pissed at WB so they wanted to destroy the show. Or they were simply drunk or high.

I mean the show never had a plan, it was made up after WB rejected the other ideas what's her name went to WB to make into a show. Season 6 shows that.

Today's update. I'm halfway through season 6. Rory is back in school, and Luke has revealed to Lorelei that he has a daughter and has postponed the wedding.
Honestly, so far, I haven't had a problem with the season. I think it's plausible that "perfect" child Rory could have finally let out that bottled up anger she must have as well as the let down she faced from Logan's asshole father and flipped for a little while, before pulling herself together again.
As for what happens in the second half of the season, I still have to watch to find out.

Well, the way he handled it has been alright with me. He maintained his integrity of character by wanting to be a part of her life, despite not being expected to. However, as I see it, it goes with his own sense of duty and responsibility. Much like the responsibility he's taken with Jess and his sister. I'd have had a bigger problem with it if he just walked away. As for this keeping Luke and Lorelei apart, I'm not too happy about that, but I have to see how it's played out. I'm told that season 7 is better, so I'll ride it out and see what happens.
