Sadly, the point of Uhura's line has been lost.Just to put things in perspective, the n word has been used in a Star Trek Episode.
It was one of the most "woke" moments in Star Trek.

I'm talking about Jake.Sadly, the point of Uhura's line has been lost.
Oh. I was thinking something else.I'm talking about Jake.
It seems most of the details are out there. The only thing that seems to be in any dispute is who actually reported him if that is of interest.Sadly, we will probably never have the full story in this case.

Or they gave him the option of quiting instead of firing him because they where on his side but they were afraid of twitter coming after them so letting him quit saves him from the indiginty of being fired. JasonI read the piece. I get where Mosley is coming from. Perhaps if he repeatedly used the word then HR would have had a case to reprimand him. As others have said he probably quit because he couldn't trust the people, the atmosphere was poisoned.
P.S Probably a good idea if some members of the forum dont make assumptions as to who it was that complained and what their ethnicity is, we dont even know who else is in the writers room at this point.
I'm hiding from the Harry Potter movies.
Is there a point where Ron says to Hermione "Witch please"?

Does anything written in Mosley's open ED or the attitude he displays in it make you think he would mince words if that were the case? Because I don't see how this particular conspiracy theory holds any water given how he presents himself here.Or they gave him the option of quiting instead of firing him because they where on his side but they were afraid of twitter coming after them so letting him quit saves him from the indiginty of being fired. All I've seen is HIS side. Have you seen any other? Link?It seems most of the details are out there. The only thing that seems to be in any dispute is who actually reported him if that is of interest.
My money is on a young white writer on the show. It takes some special kind of white privledge to complain about a black man who you know has faced real racism for using the n-word. They made it about their feelings completly ignoring the point of the story where he was descibing some real racism that went down. Jason

Human Resources having the authority to tell people how they may and may not speak, what language is allowed, would be more socially progressive, and not socially conservative. The issue is a socially conservative environment shutting down minorities to talk about racism.
I see somebody hasn't tried starting a union recently.Human Resources having the authority to tell people how they may and may not speak, what language is allowed, would be more socially progressive, and not socially conservative.
It is just a possible option. We will likely have to wait for those riveting behind the scenes books in our future. That or future documentries hosted by Shatner or Jonathan Frakes. Mostly likey Frakes. He has all the inside info. Wherever Trek news happens he is their in the room. Neither do I, but as a white man, that's irrelevant.I don't think black people should use that word to refer to themselves when they are with white people. It sends the wrong message.
