DISCO S4 Ready Room

does the tag stop a 90s PC from loading the preview? I don't think so. and videos are only loaded when you click on them anyway

The purpose is to let you control "When it Loads".

Not have the webpage load it the moment you visit the page and temporarily bog down your machine (assuming you have a slower machine).

Sorry but is this some kind of piss take? That link DOES NOT link to the ready room and the supposed link in the comments leads to a website that requires credit card details on sign up

I double checked the video, you're correct.
The Google Searched YT Link I found this morning wasn't correct.

I hadn't had time to double check the file since I was dealing with a family emergency during most of the day.

I've since updated it with the correct link in the original post.

the point is (again) that it only loads when you click on the video, and the spoiler tag only hides stuff and doesn't stop it from loading. maybe @EricF can confirm.

Thanks. I can't view it anyway since it's region locked.

So did Alex Kurtzman announce anything new?

Nothing new. To non-fans casually watching, the Academy and Sec31 talk might have made their eventual appearance seem more real.

It'll be 100% up to the browser how it decides to render/load data. The spoiler tag just changes the display CSS option on the block containing the content from none to block in essence.
So the tag doesn't change anything about loading, as that depends on the browser, not the tag.

On my slow machine, if a page has dozens of YT links w/o hiding, it still bogs the system down when loading up the page, even w/o Auto-Play on.
You can check by testing a bunch of embedded yt videos with and without tags. The bogs should be the same. (This is about the effect of spoiler tags, not the videos themselves)

It affects my machine / setup. So I'm going to keep on doing them.

Other folks might benefit.
