There were a few Disco songs that I liked in the mid-70s, mixed in with all the other stuff. But by mid 1978, not only had it all become self-parody, but it had pretty much taken over Top 40, making it unlistenable.

Disco Demolition Night
I tend to like most music genres but a lot of disco drives me mad. However, there are a few disco songs that I will destroy a dance floor with (and trust, this white boy can dance). One of my all time favorite songs is "I Will Survive". I guess I have to admit it isn't all bad. (Maybe I should have sent that to Holdfast to be included in the confessions thread. 
)
But if I was to select music from the 70's, I would go with Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or something Country. Some of the best Country music was made in the 1970's. Hell most of the best rock bands came out of that era too.

Disco is an abomination to all we hold decent and pure. If I feel the need to get out on that floor I'll stick with my Men Without Hats thank you.

As for disco, ofcourse I will. We even sing along t disco while at work. (Knock on wood, comes on the radio all the time)
