Diet & Fitness Support Thread

^Good work! I can't wait until I have to buy new clothes!
Thanks man! Yeah, it felt good. I also broke out from storage some of my "thin" clothes from a couple years back - couple pairs of denim and some tight shirts. You know the drill. ;)

I did some more HIIT on the treadmill last night and added a three degree incline to my sprints and that made the difference. I feel like I was properly winded by the end of it.
I really should do that - mix it up with some running. Mostly I do ellipitcal and stairclimber... but there is NOTHING like running. I'm sure that will help me take these last pounds off.

And to top it all off a coworker asked me if I'd lost some weight yesterday. I guess I wasn't imagining that my face is looking slimmer after all!
That's a great feeling, isn't it? I loved hearing that from my clients, and I love getting it myself.

Like you, my face/neck is where I lose it first and quickest.

Do I ever. I have a pair of pants and a shirt that I have been dying to wear again, but I will need to be pretty damn trim to wear them as the shirt is really snug. It's pretty sad but my wife has never seen me in it which means she has never seen me in my best shape. I guess it will be a bit of a surprise for her.

Running is way beyond me at the moment but I've managed to do at least half an hour every day and sometimes more. I'm well knackered at the end of it, so I must be doing something right.

Well, I am officially stoked.. I have been kicking much booty, and tonight it was confirmed. Even I, who never think I look good, was happy.

Once I stopped personal training over 2 years ago, I went from 195 to 245, from a 34 to a 40" waist.

But it's been on like donkey kong the past 3 months, so much so I had to go shopping for new pants tonight. Went to Express Men, and bought two pair of 34" boot cut jeans. Boo-yah. Little tight - I'm probably like a 35" but I still have about 10-15 lbs to go til I'm "cut".

But damn, I'm a happy camper.
That's awesome man! I feel you on the weight loss!

Running just put too much stress on my body, especially my knees. So I went for something with less impact.

My favorite is shoulders...just makes me feel wide! I like legs too but my legs are easy to develop so its almost no fun.

^I'm developing a fondness for shoulders as well. For the longest time I couldn't even figure out if my shoulder workouts were doing anything.

I can't say I'm fond of leg day either. I've started doing arms twice a week though so at least I have arms to offset leg days.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I have officially lost 8 lbs in one month. I was 191 on August 18th and this morning I weighed 183. That is definitely more than I was hoping for as I was shooting for 1 lb a week.

I had a great week last week. I made it to the gym 6 times and went for a hour and a half long walk with my wife on Saturday. The best part is that I did a heavy leg workout on Friday and this time they were only tired and not sore in the days afterwards which is why I was able to do some HIIT yesterday.

Chest, arms and abs tonight. I'm going to try to increase my weights on chest and try to get three supersets in on abs.

I've been doing two workouts on my days off. I haven't changed my diet at all but I've gained 10 pounds in 10 days...putting size onto my shoulders and back...both which have lagged behind due to rest from injuries.

10 lbs in 10 days?! I'm gonna burst your bubble and say a lot of that is probably water.

Either way, not bad. I took about 5 days off from the gym (not because I wanted to, I was just busy), and I finally went back last night. It wasn't the greatest workout ever, but it was decent enough. I did back.

Without question some is water and even some is fat, but a good portion of it is because of a new supplement I've been taking and lots of heavy lifting.
