Did TNG ever finish this line...?

I believe we heard it several times throughout the series. Usually Crusher to Picard. It was something like: "There's something I've been meaning to tell you..." or some words to that effect. What was up with that? Did they ever explain it, or say what it was?

Beverly never got to finish the line on screen, but I remember reading that Gates McFadden finished it as an inscription to Patrick Stewart on is all good things... script.

Really!!! What did she write?

I know another forum that would like to know the answer to this... ;)

"Dear Patrick, There's something I've been meaning to tell you. I will always love you, in the past, present and future. -Gates"

It was on an old GM site. Had saved the quote because it amused me. I can't get the site to work with the way back machine, looking to see if I find it elsewhere.

You don't have to go through the trouble lol! Thanks for sharing, it almost feels like closure LMAO.

How about Jean Luc, I have something to tell you. Remember that night that Jack was at starfleet headquaters and we both got a little tipsy? Well, Wesley is your son.

Seriously, though, Beverly waited until the worst possible times to try and tell Picard. Once when she was a terrorist hostage and once when everyone onboard the Enterprise disappeared except Picard.

But after the seventh season episode where the two of them were linked mentally, there was never a need for her to tell him.

Basically, Terrible Irony  .

...you're Wesley's real father. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."

Nah. Her next words to him would've been "...that Earl Grey really tastes like shit! Don't those replicators offer PG Tips?"

Now that would've been product placement to put JJ's Budwiser deal to shame!
