Did Da Vinci Smell?

When I first saw AOTC, I was of the opinion that it was a quantum leap over TPM in terms of quality. Time has not improved my opinion. I now think that, in spite of it's flaws, TPM is the one movie in the Prequel Trilogy that most "feels" like a Star Wars film. But I still (for all their many, many faults) love the PT. I think AOTC is the weakest, but the arena battle is one of my favorite things out of all six of the original movies.

The arena battle was stupid.

The Jedi allowed themselves/decided to consolidate their forces into a single target when the enemy had 80 thousand blasters pointed at them.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm doing a rewatch and it occurs to me that all of the Prequels suffer from the same problem: The first half kind of sucks, but the second half is kind of great.

If the Davinci simulation was realistic, I doubt he would have formed such affection for Janeway or been that impressed when she suggested his flying machine be a sparrow, rather than a bat. When Janeway used the holodeck she basically played her own Mary Sue. And Mary Sue don't want no stinky inventors.

I find most of the prequel trilogy completely unwatchable. The parts where Palpatine won Anakin over to the dark side were some of the only decent parts of any of them.

I only watch the original British version of the show, Sir Babylone The Fifth.

The conversation appears to have moved on (as they so often do) but in reference to the original discussion, I'd just like to say that when I'm using my off hours on the holodeck with holographic Seven of Nine....

....there is a profound and overwhelmingly powerful stench emanating from the abundant globules of glistening, burning sweat and erotically inspired vaginal discharge

You're welcome

When Annie & Padmé were alone, by the firelight, and he kept pouring on the pressure, I was confident that she would scream her balls off and run out of the room. But she stayed. Even when Annie confessed to killing all of those Sandpeople, Padmé took it all in stride. "To be angry is to be Human," she wisely posits. I watch Attack of the Clones in the French dub, because the performances are much more passionate and make all the difference, really. It's not so bad, except that time when they're smuggling themselves out of the system and she's wearing a doiley over her head, as a disguise, that part's always rough going ...
