Did Casey Biggs / Damar save season 7?

I love season seven. It isn't as strong as five or six from what memory serves, but it's still damn good.

I'm one of those people who isn't thrilled with the religious angle of the final year, but doesn't despise it either. It fits. It's just not executed quite how I would have liked... but it's still decent.

Everything else in the season was awesome IMO.

Huge Damar fan here. Obviously he wasn't single handedly responsible for saving anything. His decision to rebel at the end of season 6 ultimately helped swing things the Federation's way, but he still needed help from others. Personally I think Damar had the best story arc like ever, but I loved how he went from thug/lackey to hood ornament/figure head/Dominion puppet to alcoholic, recovered alcoholic, rebel leader to martyr. Fascinating character on all counts.

That said, I loved season 7. Damar's story arc helped that, but I liked most things about season 7.
